Instructions for making practical file

Dear students,
As we seeing that most of students not preparing their physics and chemistry files properly
for this reason they will have to make file again.
So Keep the following points in mind while making file.
● The sequence of physics experiments:-
1. Aim,
2. Apparatus,
3. Theory,
4. Circuit diagram,
5. Procedure
6. Observation table,
7. Calculation,
8. Result,
9. Precautions.
● The sequence of chemistry titration experiments:-
1. Aim,
2. Apparatus,
3. Theory (balanced chemical equation),
4.diagram,
5. Procedure,
6. Observation table,
7. Calculation,
8. Result,
9. Precautions.
● You have to fill the readings only after asking the subject teacher in
observation table.
● The calculation should be done with the same reading that you have felt in the
observation table.
● You have to write chemical reaction also in functional experiment and acid
base radical test experiment.
● You have to write each sequences given above completely do not leave
anyone and nothing has to short.

Biology practical
1. To study the Pollen germination on a slide.

2. To study population density and percentage frequency of

different plant species of a given area.

3. To prepare tremporary acetocarmine stained Mount of onion

root tip to study various stages of mitosis.

4. Isolate DNA from available plant material such as spinach leaves

green tea seeds papaya etc.

5. To study the flowers adopted to pollination by different agencies

(wind, insect and Bird).

6 To study and identify the stages of gamete development in

mouse mammal TS of testis and LS of ovary through permanent
slides.

7. study meiosis in onion bud cells through permanent slide.

8. To study TS of blastula through permanent slide.

9. study mendelian inheritance using seeds of different colour / of

any plant.

10. To study the prepared Pedigree charts of genetic traits such as

rolling of tongue, blood groups widow's peak, colour , blindness
ear lobes etc.

Physics practical
1) To determine resistance per centimetre of a given wire by
plotting a graph of potential difference versus current.

2) To find resistance of a given wire using metre bridge and

hence determine the resistivity(specific resistance) of its
material.

3) To verify the laws of combination (series) of resistance using

a metre bridge.

4) To verify the laws of combination (parallel) of resistance

using a metre bridge.

5) To find the value of v for different values of u in case of a

concave mirror and to find the focal length.

6) To find the focal length of a convex lens by plotting graphs

between u and v or between 1/u and 1/v.

7) To determine angle of minimum deviation for a given prism

by plotting a graph between angle of incidence and the
angle of deviation.

8) To draw the I-V characteristic curve of a p-n junction in

forward bias and reverse bias.
