ii. INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT-20%

You are requested to interview a family with children (it may be your own
immediate family or any other family members, neighbors or friends). You are
supposed to be their financial planner. Gather all information and come out with
the followings:
a) Bio data of the family (not limit to):
 occupation
 the number of people living in the house
 type of house, cars, other assets, etc
 relationship to you
 you may also want to include some photos, pictures, graphical
illustration etc

HOUSEHOLD (including spouse)

b) Show monthly expenses from January till December 2020


c) Balance Sheet as at 31 December 2020
(You are to show all calculations particularly on how you derive to the
outstanding figures of loans – you may use the loan calculator available from
the web)

d) Cash flow statement for year ended 31 December 2020


e) Ratios (4) and comments
f) Income Tax year assessment 2019
g) Comments and advice on the family’s current and future financial
plans incorporating all elements of financial planning (insurance,
investment, retirement planning, estate planning). You may also

include on how COVID-19 affects this family’s financial planning for
year 2020.

You are required to create your own excel template / use any templates
available from the web. For the comments and advices in WORD doc, font
will be Times New Roman, 12 and spacing 1.5.

I am looking for a NEAT and CREATIVE work with LOGICAL FIGURES.

Due date: 29th November 2020, 12midnight.


Submission has to be made through Google classroom, under tab Classwork,
select Individual Assignment Folder.
In each submission, the students should indicate:
1. Cover page stating clearly name, matric no., group, type of
assignment and lecturer’s name.
2. The references used.
3. All submissions should be in PDF format.

 Students are to come out with 4 info graphic presentations based on the
above topics given. (3 info graphic for each topic, therefore 12 altogether).

 They may highlight the components, importance and risks factors involved in
each topic. They may also add additional information deem fit.

 They may use free info graphic templates online, Canva or Powerpoint.

 Marks will be awarded based on creativity and informative content.

 Each group should have 4 members.

Due date: 27 December 2020, 12 midnight.
