Liftsense User Manual V1.35
1. Overview
Liftsense is a re-levelling and car position sensor that can measure the distortion and displacement of the elevator position caused
by the stretching of the elevator ropes in cases where the elevator load changes, and can precisely determine how much the
elevator deviates from its original position. In this document, a general information about Liftsense device has been given.
2. General Features
• Arcode is used with the integrated elevator control unit. It provides cabin position information for level renewal and
early opening of the door.
• Each floor works with door zone magnets already in place.
• Removes the necessity of additional magnet arrangement and magnetic switch installation in the well for level
refurbishment.
• In addition to level renewal sensors, there is also no need to use the door zone switcher as it includes 2 door zone
detection sensors.
• It is not necessary to change the position of the magnets to make precise level adjustments.
• Provides 7.5 mm position accuracy with 20 magnetic sensors on it.
• On-cab revision board is connected with 5 lines consisting of supply +, supply-, ML1, ML2 and serial position
communication channels. No settings are required.
• LiftSense is Arkel's patented product.

6. Mounting
6.1. IBC/IBC-S Board Connections
Liftsense is connected to IBC/IBC-S board in the inspection box located on the car. Mounting is made by connecting the coloured
pins of the socketed cable to the proper terminals. Mounting is visualised in the following figure.
IBC-S Magnet

K: Red (+24V)
Sy: Black (GND)
Y: Green (DATA)
Sr: Yellow (ML2)
M: Blue (ML1)
Note: In case of using IBC board; there is not “OUT” terminal on the IBC board, so the green cable will be connected to the
“PI12” terminal on the same board.
