    EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 8 SERIES 2020


    ORGANIZING THE MUNICIPAL HOUSING BOARD (MHoB)

    WHEREAS, the RA RA 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991
    has provided for the creation of different Local Special Bodies, namely Local Development
    Council, Local Peace and Order Council, People’s Law Enforcement Board, Local Health
    Board and Local School Board;
    WHEREAS, this administration believes that aside from the above stated Local
    Special Bodies, which are all very active today, the Municipal Housing Board must also be
    established for our people’s welfare;
    WHEREAS, the Municipal Housing Board shall task to review and analyze, formulate,
    develop, implement and monitor policies on the provision on housing and resettlement
    areas and on observance of the rights of the underprivileged and homeless to a just and
    humane eviction and demolition;
    NOW THEREFORE, I, MEDRITO F. FABREAG, JR., Municipal Mayor of Concepcion,
    Romblon by virtue of the powers vested in me by law do hereby order the organization of
    the Municipal Housing Board (MHoB), of this municipality.
    SECTION I. COMPOSITION. Reorganization of the Municipal Housing Board
    a) The Municipal Housing Board is hereby reorganized to be constituted as
    follows:

    SECTION 2. DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS. The council shall have the following
    functions:
    a. Policy Making – Preparation of Municipal shelter plans which shall form part of
    and are consistent with the municipal development plans
    b. Representational – the Board should delegate one representative to the Local
    Development Council.
    c. Technical Assistance – should assist the MDC in the formulation of
    Comprehensive Land Use Plan
    d. Ministerial – shall conduct inventory of all lands within the municipality and
    identify sites for socialized housing.
    e. Advisory/recommendatory- shall advise the Sangguniang Bayan on matters of
    local taxation, recommend sourcing of funds and formulate schemes for the
    acquisition and disposition of lands with the national government on housing for
    the underprivileged and homeless.
    f. Coordinate – shall coordinate with government agencies and instrumentalities
    performing functions which may affect housing and urban development.
    SECTION 3. EFFECTIVITY. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately and
    valid until June 30, 2022.

    DONE this 11th day of February 2020 at Concepcion, Romblon, Philippines.
