MY OJT EXPERIENCED AT

PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE MALVAR STATION

I am Jojo N. Natividad, 4th year criminology student undergo my ON THE JOB

TRANING(OJT) at Malvar Police Station, Before I start of my OJT I was expecting many

new things that I will learn, like how the police work, how they handled complaint and

incident and how to create police reports and other job of police.

On the first day of my OJT, the police personnel who assigned to supervise us in the

beginning and until the end of our training oriented us about the rules and regulation of OJT

inside and outside of the police station and to be followed strictly because of our own safety,

she also gave us an assignment to know all the names of personnel of PNP station and their

designation. And also the Chief of Police of Malvar station added other rules and regulation.

My first experience in my OJT is to determine how to be a police, what is the

requirements and also the different type of lateral entry to be in the higher rank. And our

Chief of Police giving some advised to become a good and respectful law enforcer. I have

enough knowledge in the field of Police Community Relation many of these are how to

conduct door to door visitation, some programs like public relation, civic action, public

information and psychological programs to maintain their mission “ to serve and protect” the

property and the lives of the community.

During our actual OJT, I experienced many things, learned new things and gained

new information that before I don’t mind to know. I learned how to read radio message and

what is the proper manner in entertaining the complainant. I was also learned how to enter

complaint in the police blotter and determine if the case is entered for WCPD blotter. I also

experienced and observed how to investigate traffic incident. What is the first thing to do

before and after you arrive at the scene. And how to conduct checkpoint to AOR or area of

responsibilities to know if the drivers licence if its fake or expired and to determine if the

vehicle plate no. is expired also to check if the vehicle have a contraband. I also experienced

how to investigate and interviewed the caught suspects who violate the law how to take mug

shot and get their finger print. I also learned how to stencil the serial no. of the service

firearm of the police personnel but before of actual stencil the police officer teaches us what

is the proper manner in handling a fire arm even if it is not loaded. I also observed how to
discuss D.A.R.E program of PNP to grade 5 and 6 student of San Juan and San Andres

Malvar Batangas.

Over all i have good experienced of my on the job training in PNP Malvar Station. I

know it will become a big help for me for my future field I want to enter.

BUREAU OF FIRE PROTECTION MALVAR STATION

I am Jojo N. Natividad, 4th year criminology student undergo my ON THE JOB

TRANING (OJT) at Bureau of Fire Protection, Before I start of my OJT I was expecting

many new things that I will learn, like how the BFP work, how they handled a fire incident

and how to respond immediately during fire situation and other job of fire officer.

On the first day of my OJT, the fire officer who assigned to supervise us in the

beginning and until the end of our training oriented us about the rules and regulation of OJT

inside and outside of the fire station and to be followed strictly because of our own safety, he

also gave us an assignment to know all the names of personnel of Malvar fire station and

their designation. And also the municipal fire Marshall of Malvar fire station added other

rules and regulation.

I learned much in the BFP in conducting inspection in different barangay giving them

some advised in putting the fire extinguisher in proper place if it is in good condition or not.

We conduct training in Sunjin Company and we got enough knowledge in how to rapel , and

giving some first aid to those employees who needed most in case of calamity and disaster

and I’m very sure that it will help them in the future and they can share the knowledge to

others.

During our actual OJT, I experienced many things and learned new things and gained

new information that before I don’t know. I learned what is the proper manner how to
entertain the applicant that will get fire safety inspection certificate and other document

needed to complete for the installation of electricity from the batellec II. I was learned the

basic inspecting of establishment or houses, if it is safe for the installation of power and if the

company followed the revised fire code of the Philippines (R.A 9514). I also experienced and

observed how to investigate fire incident and what is the first thing to do before and after you

arrive at the fire scene. I was also learned the Basics of fire fighting procedure but before that

our training supervisor teaches us the basics information about fire how I classify it if it is

class A,B,C,D and K fire and what is the proper extinguishing agent to be used for what class

of is present. I also learned the types of hose folding, proper position in hose folding and how

to operate fire truck and basics in joining two hoses and the kind of sex coupling they have

what is the proper carrying and throwing hose. I also learned the proper of rappelling in the

building but before that our supervisor teaches us about the kinds of ropes and proper and

easy rope tightening. I learned also how to rescue and giving first aid to the injured person

how to conduct CPR before the ambulance arrive.

Over all I have good and exciting experience of my on the job training in Bureau of

Fire Protection Malvar Station. I know it will become a big help for me for my future field I

want to enter.
