Identifying Biases in an Authors Work


If an author has a particularly strong opinion on the
subject of his or her writing, it may color the writing with bias.
Bias refers to a lack of impartiality on the author’s part, where
the author shows a preference for one side of an issue or
discussion.
A critical reader needs to spot or sense this bias to weigh
the value of and identify the truth in the author’s statements/
the presence of a strong bias does not automatically suggest
that the content of an article is invalid, but knowing about it
can help the reader interpret the article intelligently and

Paragraph 2.
Crying is an infant’s natural way of communicating his/her
mother. When a child cries, it only means something; either
he/she is hungry, restless, uncomfortable, sleepy, or not
feeling well. And this meaning is taken ordinarily by a mother’s
instinct. That is why everybody says that all mothers know
best.

Paragraph 3.
Obedience is one of the virtues that u=is forgotten by the
youth of this era. Most of the youth of today get into trouble
because they do decision making by themselves. Because of
this situation, it is believed that every child’s foundation must
be built at home seriously and later be honed by society.
