    INTRO TO WORLD RELIGION AND BELIEFS SYSTEM

    SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN


    Time Frame: 2 hour (1st quarter)
    Date: November 6, 2021
    Section: G11- HUMSS Datolite

    OBJECTIVE:
    A. To understand the meaning of religion and each elements.
    B. To differentiate religion from spirituality

    SUBJECT MATTER:

    TOPIC: Chapter 1 – Belief Systems (RELIGION)


    REFERENCE: Textbook page: 1-5 from the book of “ Intro to the World Religion”
    LEARNING MATERIALS: loptop, blackboard, chalk, instructional materials.

    PROCEDURE:
    A. Review
    Ask the students what was the discussion yesterday.
    B. Motivation:
    Show a pictures that relates about different religion. Then ask them what their reaction towards the
    pictures that they have seen lately.
    C. Presentation
    1. Start the lesson with a brief introduction about the religion and spirituality
    2. Give the terms to be discussed: religion and elements, and spirituality
    3. Then, give the definition of each term and explain to the class.
    4. Afterwards, ask the students to share some experience in real life about what they had know or
    learn about their religion, how’s their behavior affected.
    5. Ask how did they apply religion in their daily life.
    D. Generalization
    1. What is the meaning of religion that we discussed recently?
    2. What about the meaning of spirituality?
    3. Differentiate religion from spirituality.
    4. What are those terms for various reasons to be established by man to be consider as definition of
    religion?
    5. How many elements of religion do we have?
    6. What are the definition of each elements?s

    E. Application
    1. Divide the class into 4 groups.
    2. Each group will need to choose and make a reflection about the topic that we had discuss.
    3. The group who can give interesting idea on how to present their choice will get highest points to
    their performance.
    4. Preparation at least 10minutes using manila paper, marker pen, colored paper.
