him to answer all his questions or else face the same consequences
as his brothers. These questions-answers are like Vedic sutras,
short, pithy and practical, and deal with piety and religiosity.
Yudhisthira answers show the importance of wisdom, obedience
to God and patience. In the answers he gives to the Yaksha, he
tells us to give up pride, anger and desire to live a happy life.
Yudhishthira was not only wise but he had renounced pride, anger
and desire and thus attained great wisdom and joy. His answers
also show that he gives great importance to fairness and justice.

Herb: Oh. I see how her not liking Christians can be a problem

Skeeter: NO WAY! Anyone?
Herb: Yes. God shows us that God is the giver of ALL authority

It encourages innovative and creative thinking

Turncoat view:
No competition is not good as we’re always trying to be better
than the next guy, but for what purpose? Everyone is unique so
why try to be the better than everyone at everything instead of
being the best that you are capable of? Everyone has different
skills and strengths and areas where they excel in, so there will
always be someone better than you; people have to accept this
instead of stressing out over being better than others. Competition
attempts to determine one’s self worth over what others think
of one, which is exactly the type of mind-set that is ruining
society. We need to learn how to cooperate and accept ourselves
instead of constantly trying to outdo each other. Competition is
a terrible thing many people still don’t know why there are
millions of people who commit suicide every year. Some people
still wonder why bullying occurs, still wonder why America is
wasting billions of dollars on wars, still wonder why there are
homeless people in the world. Because of the desire to compete,
to be able to say, ‘I’m better than you, I can compete against
you and I will win.’ People are taught that if they beat someone
then they are then better than them and they have to beat them
to know that they are good enough so they rely on other peoples
failing for their own self-praise. Competition is bad because it
puts pressure. Everyone assumes that a lack of competition will
make us lazy. But I think the opposite is true. I think that people
thrive when given the opportunity to explore and share.
Collaboration and play lets people develop a skill set that is more
connected to who they inherently are. It is a process of discovery.
Competition is what discourages us from pursuing our dreams,
because it says that our dreams and skills are measured from a
criteria that is inaccessible to our own intelligence. Competition
assigns arbitrary rules to skills that define whether or not the
skill is acceptable. The rules may not be in the best interest of
each person. As a result, there are people doing things out of a
sense of constraint, rather than out of a sense of
freedom.Everyone has the potential for a unique skill set.
Unfortunately, competition subdivides everything into specialized,
measured skillets with no room to explore using our own
judgement. Competition can also bring out the worst in people.
They want to win so badly that they don’t think of others and
are too focused on winning the competition.
