2. What is scientific method? Enumerate the steps in the scientific method.

3. What are the limitation of science?

4. What do you think is the role of science and technology in our society today?

Answers:

1. Learning about oneself and the outer world may be accomplished through philosophy
and science. Natural, social, formal, and applied sciences are the four primary subfields
of contemporary science. Epistemology, metaphysics, mind, and language, value theory,
logic, science, and mathematics, together with the philosophy of history, are the main
areas of philosophy, in comparison.Philosophy typically addresses this but also
addresses a priori knowledge. Science is concerned with empirical knowledge.
Philosophy usually addresses these issues, but it also addresses essential truths,
whereas science is concerned with contingent facts or truths. Philosophy is typically
concerned with the same descriptive facts that science is, but it is also interested in
normative and evaluative truths. Philosophy typically addresses these issues while also
addressing abstract concepts. Science is concerned with tangible objects.

2. The scientific method relies on testing and experimenting to accurately establish

facts. The "Question," which is also known as the "Problem," is the first stage in the
scientific process. Your question should be phrased in a way that it may be resolved by
testing.A hypothesis is a statement that may be tested by observations or experiments
regarding the natural world. It is the second stage in the scientific process. Hypotheses
must be falsifiable and susceptible to scientific scrutiny in order to qualify as scientific. An
experiment is an empirical technique that settles conflicting models or hypotheses. It is
the third phase in the scientific method. Additionally, experiments are used by
researchers to confirm or refute new or current theories. Results/ drawing a conclusion,
the fourth stage in the scientific process, involves summarizing the results of an
experiment in a statement. The hypothesis is typically tied to the experiment's
outcome. The final phase in the scientific method is the report result, which is a written
account of the steps taken, the results gathered, and the current status of a technical or
scientific problem. It could also provide conclusions from the research and
recommendations.
3. There are many ways to define science, but one way to think of it is as information
gathered via experiments and observations. It is up to the individual if they want to apply
scientific knowledge. Science cannot be judged for being right or incorrect. Thus,
science does not generate moral or ethical norms, rules, or judgements. People are in
charge of conducting this, occasionally relying only on scientific facts.

4. Life has been better thanks to science and technology, which also made it possible for
us to live in the contemporary era. Science and technology have made tasks like
cooking, conversing, and commuting simpler and faster. Technology is also utilized to
exchange information and establish connections with individuals all around the world. By
allowing us to save time and money, and by supplying new information, science and
technology have contributed to the improvement and transformation of people's lives.
Technology and science advance together as a result. It also allows us to create new
technologies, expand our understanding of science and technology, and learn more
about the world.
