LESSON PLANNING ECRIF FRAMEWORK

 ECRIF is a lesson plan framework for understanding learning. It’s a way of looking at
how students learn a language.
 “Give students something to do, not something to learn; and the doing is of such a nature as to
demand thinking; learning naturally results” John Dewey.
 ECRIF Objectives:
1. Reflecting for action: to plan lessons and adapt course book materials.
2. Reflecting in action: to assess where students are in their learning process during a lesson.
3. Reflecting on action: to reflect on student learning after a lesson.
 ECRIF Overview: The target language can be described as new person.
You meet a new person and you want to know his name as

You ask the person for the name with correct spelling and

You repeat the name several times, use it in conversation, or
