SECTION 1 GENERAL

Airplane was modified for introduction of Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast Out
through 1090MHz Extended Squitter function of the ATC SSR transponders.
The ADS-B Out system meets RTCA DO-260B definition and transmits data from:
- Global Navigation System Sensors
- Inertial Reference System (Heading)
- Air-Data computing system
- Flight Management System
The ADS-B Out function is integrated within the transponder units and its control and
annunciation are through the flight deck ATC/TCAS control panel.
The installed ADS-B Out system has been shown to meet the equipment requirements of
European Commission Regulation N° 1207/2011 in accordance with EASA CS.ACNS.D.ADSB.
The installed ADS-B Out system has been shown to meet the equipment requirements of United
States of America 14 CFR 91.227 in accordance with FAA AC20-165B.
ATC SSR transponders are TSO/ETSO C166b.
Global Navigation System Sensors used for ADS-B are either:
- TSO/ETSO-C129a GPS receiver integrated in Rockwell-Collins GLU-920/925, or
- TSO/ETSO C145c/C146c SBAS GPS receiver CMC/Esterline CMA-5024

SECTION 2 CERTIFICATE LIMITATIONS

Airworthiness approval does not constitute an operational approval.

On Airplanes where ADS-B position is from TSO/ETSO-C129() GPS receivers, as Rockwell-
Collins GLU-920 or GLU-925, the availability of GPS RAIM for the duration of operation in
airspaces requiring ADS-B has to be checked before flight.
This limitation does not apply to TSO/ETSO-C145()/146() SBAS GPS receivers.

SECTION 3 NON-NORMAL PROCEDURES

ATC Failure annunciated on ATC control panel or EICAS:

ATC transponder ...................................................................................................... Transfer
ATC status .................................................................................................................. Check
If ATC failure is still annunciated:
TCAS status on TCAS displays ................................................................................... Check
If TCAS operates in TA/RA mode without failure:
ADS-B Out is inoperative / not available
- Operation in ADS-B region ............. Alert ATC and revert to manual position reporting
- Operation outside ADS-B region .... Continue normal operation, monitor TCAS status
If TCAS is inoperative / failed:
ATC SSR transponder and/or ADS-B Out are inoperative / not available.
......................................................... Alert ATC and revert to manual position reporting
Note:
ATC failure annunciation indicates either a failure of the ATC transponder system or the un-
availability of the ADS-B Out function.
The ADS-B Out function is temporarily unavailable in case of insufficient GPS reception
which may happen under rare conditions as for example GPS antennas shadowing during
high bank or pitch maneuvers.
The ATC failure annunciation does not reflect a failure of the ATC transponder system if it is
confirmed that the GPS reception is temporarily not available and if the ATC normal
operation resumes after the GPS reception is recovered.
GPS receiver status can be checked through the FMS.

SECTION 4 NORMAL PROCEDURES

The ADS-B Out function is fully automatic and is active as soon as the ATC SSR transponder
system is active.
The ADS-B Out system transmits data from the following systems which must be operative for
ADS-B operations:
- Global Navigation System Sensors
- Inertial Reference System (Heading)
- Air-Data computing system
- Flight Management System
