Written work of 10th year of prophethood

11th year: The Advent of Islam in Yasrib (Madinah)

Resources required: Text book, white board and markers.

SMART Objectives:

By the end of the lesson students will ;

• Do the written work of 10th year of prophethood.

• Understand the striving of Prophet ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬in preaching of Islam day and night and
covey Allah’s messages to the people of Makkah.

• Learn that how Islam started spreading in Yasrib( Madinah)

• be able to give answers of the questions , related to the text.

Course content to be taught

• The striving of Prophet ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬in preaching of Islam day and night and covey Allah’s

messages to the people of Makkah.

• Prophet’s ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬preaching in the season of Hajj.

• How did Islam spread in Yasrib( Madinah)

• The old name of Madinah was Yasrib.

• Who was sent to Yasrib to educate the people about the teachings of Islam?

Methodology ( please include all the strategies and activities that to be used to achieve the
teaching objectives)

Explanation of the topic will be done after thorough reading by asking the students bout the 10th
year of Prophethood..
• How did Muqataa-e-Quraish was ended?

• What were the two great losses which Prophet Muhammad ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬had suffered?

• What is the meaning of Aam-al-Huzn?

• What happened in Taif?

• How did Prophet ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬react on the rude behavior of people of Taif?

• Who was the angle of mountain?

• What did he say?

Written work:

Then she will ask the students to open textbook pg# 64 and ask them to do the Fill in the blanks with
in the textbook. The fill the blanks will be marked. 1 mark each.

Then she will ask students to do Q#3 and 4 from the textbook Pg#64 textbook in the notebook.

 How did the wealthy people of Taif behave with the Holy Prophet ‫? صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬

 What did the angel say to the Holy Prophet ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬and what was his reply?.

Warmup Activity

Teacher will ask students about the 10th year of prophethood. What happened in 10th year?

Students will come up with their prior knowledge about the end of Muqataa e Quraish, great losses
suffered by the Holy prophet ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬, maining of Aam al Huzn, and what happened in Taif.

Then she will start explaning 11th year of Prophethood with the help of textbookPg# 66.

Middle

In 11th year of prophethood, teacher will discuss with the reference of 10th year of prophethood
difficulties and hardship. She will discuss how much effort was made day and night by the Holy
Prophet ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬and the Muslims but still nonbelievers of Makkah were opposing the
teachings of Islam. So the Holy Prophet ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬turned his efforts towards the people who
came to Makkah for hajj in Haj season from other parts of the country. There he preached them
about the teachings of Islam. So, in 11th year there was a convoy of 6 people who came from Yasrib
which is the old name of Madinah. They were near Makkah and they were invited by our beloved
Prophet ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬. He ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬then invite them to accept Islam and told them the
teachings of Islam. They embraced Islam and when they returned they spoke of the teachings of
Islam to their people in Yasrib. The Holy Prophet ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬sent Hazrat Musabbin Umair(R.A) to
Yasrib to educate the people of Yasrib about the teachings of Islam.

Conclusion:

Students will realize, this is how much efforts were made by the Holy Prophet ‫ صلى هللا عليه وسلم‬in
spreading of Islam and people gradually accepted Islam. They will know the history of Islam.
