The Vacant Seats in the 1st Year U.G. degree programmes in Engineering / Technology /
Architecture / Pharmacy for the session 2022-2023 will be filled up through Decentralized
Counselling to be conducted by the FET, Jadavpur University by in-person physical mode at the
university main campus. The detailed schedule and vacancy matrix for the decentralized
counselling will be published separately
1. ELIGIBILITY:
1.1. General: Candidates with a valid General Merit Rank (GMR) of WBJEE 2022 and have
passed Class XII (or equivalent) examination may apply subject to fulfilling all the
eligibility criteria as laid down in this Admission Information Brochure.
The students already admitted to UG Degree Programme under FET, JU and either
continuing or have withdrawn from the same may also apply.
1.2. For Engineering/Technology and Pharmacy courses:
1.2.1. Candidates must have a valid WBJEE-2022 GMR within 10,000 for general
category and any valid WBJEE-2022 GMR for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PWD candidates
and
1.2.2. Candidates must pass Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in science stream in
regular class mode of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or
equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board with:
1.2.2.1. Individual pass mark (both in theory & practical wherever applicable) in
Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
1.2.2.2. Minimum of 60% marks in above subjects taken together (45% for SC, ST,
OBC-A, OBC-B, PWD candidates) having 60% marks in Mathematics (45% for
SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PWD candidates) as well as pass marks in English with a
minimum mark 30% (for all category of candidates) in the said qualifying
examination.
1.3. For Architecture courses:
1.3.1. Candidates must have a valid WBJEE-2022 GMR (for all category) with
1.3.2. Candidates must qualify in NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture)
conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi OR JEE-Mains paper 2
conducted by National Testing Agency. The Results of the above Examinations
should be valid and
1.3.3. Candidates must pass Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in science stream in
regular class mode of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or
equivalent examination from a recognised Council/Board with:
Minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 50% marks in
aggregate of the (10+2) Examination (37% for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC- B, PWD
candidates)

2. RESERVATION OF SEATS:
2.1. Domicile Quota: The candidates must be domicile of West Bengal for admission to all
seats under Open (Home State)/SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD category.
2.1.1. Only those candidates will be treated as domicile of West Bengal who are either,
2.1.1.1. residing in West Bengal continuously at least for last 10 (ten) years as on
31.12.2021.
OR
2.1.1.2. whose parent(s) is/are permanent resident(s) of West Bengal having
permanent address within the State of West Bengal.
2.1.2. The candidate needs to download the required proforma as per the detail given
in WBJEE-2022 information brochure and keep the proforma duly signed and
certificated by the competent authority as per the WBJEE-2022 guidelines andkeep
it ready to be produced during counselling, admission etc.
2.1.3. In case of 2.1.1.1 above, a certificate is to be obtained as per proforma ‘a1’ or
proforma ‘a2’.
2.1.4. In case of 2.2.2 above, a certificate is to be obtained in proforma ‘b’ or the
candidate must produce in original any two of Voter ID card/ Adhaar card/
Passport/ Ration card belonging to his/her parents. The said documents must justify
that the residential address of parent(s) is in West Bengal.
2.1.5. SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates who cannot produce required domicile
certificate, can produce their category certificates (issued by the Govt. of WB) in lieu
of domicile certificate. But in that case if the category certificate is found invalid at
the time of verification, their domicile status will also be considered to be NON-West
Bengal.
2.2. SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B Reservation: Reservation of Seats for Scheduled Cast (SC),
Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (Category A) (OBC-A) and Other Backward
Class (Category B) (OBC-B) are as per relevant guidelines of the Government of West
Bengal and WBJEE-2022 information brochure.
The candidate shall have to furnish copies of valid SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B certificate in
his/her name issued by the competent authority as listed in the brochure of the WBJEE-
2022.
OBC-A/B Certificates must be issued after 31-03-2022 and must clearly mention
that that the candidate belongs to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) and sub-category of
OBC-A or OBC-B, without which the certificate will be considered as invalid.
2.3. Reservation for Person with Disability (PwD): Following the relevant sections of the
RPwD Act, 2016, Reservation in PwD seats will be available for the following types of
disabilities with percentage of disability being not less than 40% -
Locomotor disability as specified in the Schedule of RPwD Act, 2016
Visual impairment as specified in the Schedule of RPwD Act, 2016
Hearing impairment as specified in the Schedule of RPwD Act, 2016
Speech & language disability as specified in the Schedule of RPwD Act, 2016
Intellectual disabilities as specified in the Schedule of RPwD Act, 2016
Mental illness
Disabilities caused due to chronic neurological conditions and blood disorder
Multiple disabilities including deaf blindness.
The candidates must have to produce valid PwD certificate issued by the competent
certifying authority as per the WBJEE-2022 information brochure.

3. SEAT MATRIX:
The starting vacancy seat matrix for each day will be published at 8pm on the previous
evening.
The vacancy matrix is dynamic and vacancy for a particular course under particular
category may increase due to change of course for students already admitted to JU, if any.
Unfilled seats of SC category, if any, will be filled up by ST category candidates and vice-e-
versa AND Unfilled seats of OBC-A category, if any, will be filled up by OBC-B category
candidates and vice-e-versa.
Unfilled seats of PwD category, if any, will be filled up by non-PwD candidates of the same
category.
No reserved category seats will be available for General category candidates under any
circumstances.
There is NO TFW seats in the decentralised counselling
4. APPLICATION:
The eligible candidates are to fill up the online application form to exercise their willingness
for participation in the decentralised counselling. The online application will be live from
10th November 2022 to midnight of 15th November 2022 at the FET, JU admission
website https://admissionju.jadavpuruniversity.in/fengadmission.
The general category candidates with GMR more than 10000 and willing to apply for the
Architecture course will not be able to use the online application system. They must write an
email to the admission helpdesk with scanned copies of all supporting documents as proof of
their eligibility for the B.Arch. programme.
Applicants need not have to mention their preferred choice of courses during online
application. They have to exercise the choice during their respective counselling based
on the availability at that instant.
5. REPORTING AND DOCUMENT VERIFICATION: The candidates must report for Physical
Reporting and Counselling on the scheduled date and time. No candidate shall normally be
allowed to take part in counselling and admission after his/her designated reporting
time. The reporting schedule and venue will be published on the FET JU admission portal
website https://admissionju.jadavpuruniversity.in/fengadmission
5.1. At the time of reporting, the candidates will have to produce Original and One self-
attested copy of the following documents along with downloaded filled-up Decentralised
Online Application Form –
Decentralised Reporting Form (proforma to be downloaded from admission portal)
Aadhaar Card of the candidate
Rank Card issued by WBJEE – 2022
Rank Card of NATA-2022 conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi (for
admission to Architecture)
Admit Card, Mark Sheet and Certificate of Madhyamik or equivalent examination
Admit Card, Mark Sheet and Certificate of Higher Secondary or equivalent
examination
Valid SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD Certificate in the name of the candidate issued by
the competent authority, if applicable
Proof of Family Income of Parent/Guardian from the employer or IT document or
from the competent government authority
5 (five) copies of passport size photograph (to be submitted during admission only)

5.2. The Candidates already admitted in UG 1st Year under FET, JU in the session 2022-23 and
continuing with the admission (Not applied for withdrawal) and are willing to appear in
Decentralized Counselling will have to bring the original and one self-attested copy of the
following documents in addition to the documents mentioned under 5.1 –
WBJEE PI Admin Reporting sheet showing the admission confirmation
Admission Money Receipt of JU obtained during the admission 2022-23
7. IMPORTANT NOTES:
7.1. The personal presence of candidates is MUST for the decentralised counselling.
7.2. The list of applicants along with schedule and reporting time will be published in the
university admission portal.
7.3. Confirmation of application and/or schedule of reporting does not guarantee admission
or even participation in the decentralised counselling.
7.4. Counselling and admission will be closed as soon as the vacant seats of concerned
category are filled up. No further counselling will take place after that.
7.5. Guardians are not allowed in the counselling hall

7.6. All notifications regarding decentralised counselling will be published in the admission
portal https://admissionju.jadavpuruniversity.in/fengadmission. The candidates MUST
keep themselves updated of all information. No individual communication will be made
under any circumstance.
7.7. Issues, if any, may be mailed with proper subject matter to the FET UG admission
helpdesk [email protected]. No other mode of communication will
be entertained.
7.8. For any dispute the decision of the Jadavpur University will be final and binding.
