    INTRODUCTION

    Sinicon contributes substantially to the energy saving and environmental protection by way
    of providing innovative green products and solutions. The prime objective is to provide an
    effective and natural climate control for the buildings thus provide people with much
    needed natural comfort within a building interior.

    Sinicon Sand, a Certified Green Product is an innovative heatproofing and climate control
    plastering material that controls the temperature in the building interior, makes building
    fireproof and also extend the life of the building substantially.

    Plastering the building by using Sinicon Sand provides a building with a host of benefits such
    as making the building interior cool during summer and warm during winter causing a huge
    savings in the energy required for the air-conditioning and heating of the building interiors.
    Since Sinicon Sand gives Healthy Interior through natural cooling, it provides for better
    wellbeing for Old People, Small Children, Diabetic and Asthma Patients.

    All these benefits are possible because of the very low thermal conductivity property of
    Sinicon Sand at a K value of 0.13 as against the K value of 0.72 of normal plastering.

    Sinicon Sand is a product derived out from Volcanic Glass. The speciality of the product is
    that in every granule of Sinicon Sand has millions of vacuum cells inside and it can withstand
    upto 1,250 Degree Celsius temperature. Hence, a layman’s perspective a simple 16mm
    Sinicon Sand with cement plastering on one side of the normal wall can make an effect of
    heat reduction equal to a double wall.

    Sinicon Sand is a product that can be easily handled like river sand by any skilled mason who
    is experienced in the plastering work. In fact, it is much easy to do Sinicon Sand plastering
    due to its light weight.

    The mixing proportion is detailed in the Bag.

    We recommend Cement to Sinicon Sand ratio of 1:3 for Wall Plastering as well as Roof
    Plastering and Screeding.
    SINICON SAND APPLICATION FOR ROOF, CEILING AND WALL

    Mixing for plastering at 1:3 – Cement : Sinicon Sand ratio means mixing of 1 bag cement and
    1 bag Sinicon Sand Jumbo Bag. Please note that the volume of 1 bag Sinicon Sand Jumbo
    Bag is equal to the volume of 3 cement bags and therefore 1 bag cement and 1 Sinicon Sand
    Jumbo bag constitutes 1:3 ratio by volume.

    Dry mix Sinicon Sand and cement initially and add water sufficiently to make the mortar
    application suitable for the Roof surface or Ceiling surface or Wall surface.

    Roof Plastering: Clean the roof surface. In the case of old buildings use metal wire brush to
    remove dirt and fungus on roof surface. Hack the surface to make it rough to get grip for
    the new Sinicon Sand plaster. Wash surface again to remove dirt and dust from the surface.
    Prior to plastering ensure that the surface is just wet and excess water is removed from the
    roof surface. Prepare cement grout and apply on the roof surface. Press apply the Sinicon
    Sand Plaster mortar on the surface and finish the plaster surface like normal plaster.

    Allow it to cure and keep the plaster moist for a minimum of fourteen days or use proper
    curing methods as appropriate.

    Wall and Ceiling Plastering: Clean the surface. In the case of old buildings use metal wire
    brush to remove dirt and fungus on the surface. Hack the surface to make it rough to get
    grip for the new Sinicon Sand plaster or alternatively use primer if the surface is very
    smooth. Wash surface again to remove dirt and dust from the surface. Prior to plastering
    ensure surface is just wet. Prepare cement grout and apply on the surface. Press apply the
    Sinicon Sand Plaster mortar on the surface and finish the plaster surface like normal plaster.

    Allow it to cure and keep the plaster moist for a minimum of fourteen days or use proper
    curing methods as appropriate.
