If there are no special tightening torques specified for a bolted joint, the standard values in the
following tables apply.
The specifications for strength classes of the screws being used can be obtained on the respective
screw head.
If a screw does not have a strength class specified, use the tightening torques for strength class
8.8.
Note
If special tightening torques are specified for certain bolted joints and these lightening torques differ
from the standard values:
u Use the tightening torques specified in the “Special tightening torques” table.

Mixer drive
The force transfer takes place from the rotary current motor via the belt drive and the gear to the
mixing shaft. Gear “A” and gear “B” are connected with each other by the cardan shaft. This results
in both mixing shafts rotating synchronously.
Hydraulic pumps
Hydraulic pump “A” pumps the oil out of gear “A” in the closed circuit to the gear drive of gear “A”.
Hydraulic pumps “B” and “C” are driven by gear “B”. Hydraulic pump “B” pumps the oil out of gear
“B” in the closed circuit to the gear drive of gear “B”.
Gear
The gears have a separate oil system with closed immersion lubrication.

imity switch
3 Gear 7 “Gate slide closed” proximity switch
4 Hydraulic cylinder 8 Gate slide
When the agitator is running, the mixer is discharged automatically via the hydraulically actuated
gate slide.
The hydraulic pump is driven by the gear and generates the pressure for the hydraulic cylinder.
The hydraulic cylinder actuates the gate slide.
The “Gate slide open”, “Gate slide closed” and “Gate slide in intermediate position” positions are
recorded by proximity switches and reported to the control.
The gate slide is only permitted to be partially open to transfer the mix to the truck mixer, in order to
ensure that the feeding hopper can receive the mix quantity.
LMT/820295005/160216/2016-02-17/en
The amount of mix that flows into the feeding hopper depends on the gate slide's intermediate
position. The intermediate position can be adjusted on the “Gate slide in intermediate position”
proximity switch.
To transfer the mix quickly, the gate slide opens until the “Gate slide open” proximity switch is
reached.
You must secure the gate slide when carrying out maintenance or repair work on the gate slide or
the hydraulic equipment.

centralized lubricating system.
The bearings of the rotary current motors are not centrally lubricated. These must be lubricated by
hand.
Note
u Observe the operating instructions of the manufacturer (folder section 9, Baier & Köppel,
chapter “Function of the centralized lubricating pump”).
Lubrication cycles
Fig. 60
Tab. 26
Automatic lubrication takes place in lubrication cycles. One lubrication cycle consists of the lubrica-
tion time and pause time. During the lubrication time, all connected lubrication points are lubricated
2x and the piston detector is actuated 2x.
If the piston detector is only actuated 1x during the monitoring time then an error message is
issued by the control of the centralized lubricating system to the control of the concrete mixing
plant.
During the lubrication time, approx. 90% of the grease is distributed to the labyrinth seals, approx.
9% to the mix.shaft arrangem. of bearings and approx. 1% to the gate bearings.
Grease consumption
Around 8 l of grease is consumed in 40 operating hours. When the lubricant reservoir is empty, this

point.
u Remove grease from the emersion points or from the collecting channels.
If the grease is contaminated:
u Shut down the mixer.

The initial commissioning of the mixer is carried out by specialist Liebherr personnel or by specialist
personnel trained and authorised by Liebherr.
Before the initial commissioning, the supervisor must carry out a test run on the mixer.
A test run must also be carried out under the following conditions:
– Before daily start-up
– After maintenance or repair work
Before you start the mixer for the test run, you must ensure that the mixer is safe to operate.
Before carrying out maintenance work, switch off the mixer and secure it against being switched
back on. Otherwise, there is a danger that the components will start moving suddenly and injure
personnel or damage plant parts.
Only switch on the mixer during this period if required for carrying out specified tasks, e.g. for func-
tion tests.
WARNING
Automatic start-up
Body parts and clothing can be drawn into machinery.
u Switch the mixer off at the mixer maintenance switch or the plant main switch.
u Lock the mixer maintenance switch or plant main switch with a padlock to secure it against
being switched on.
u Store the key in a safe place inaccessible to others.
The safety devices must also be installed and fully operational during the test run. Only switch on
the mixer after ensuring that the mixer is safe to operate.

4 Lubricating nipple for gate bearing
When the centralized lubricating system is working, approximately 8 l of grease is consumed in 40
operating hours.
If a fault occurs on the centralized lubricating system, you must determine the cause of the fault.
Possible causes:
– Pump is faulty
– Distributor element is faulty
– Conduit blocked
Other fault causes and measures to rectify the faults:
Note
u Observe the manufacturer's operating instructions (folder section 9, Baier und Köppel, “Fault,
cause, remedy” chapter).
Emergency lubrication
If a fault occurs on the centralized lubricating system and this cannot be rectified immediately, you
must lubricate the bearings and labyrinth seals manually.
If the distributor elements work, you can use the lubricating nipples on the centralized lubricating
system or the individual lubricating nipples on the mixing trough for lubrication.
If the distributor elements do not work, you must use the individual lubricating nipples on the mixing
trough for lubrication.
NOTICE
Bearing damage
The bearing point will be destroyed if it is not lubricated.
u Lubricate the bearings and the labyrinth seals regularly.
