Project Guidelines
Training presents a prime opportunity to expand the knowledge base and skills.
Training is important as students gain value based on the skills and knowledge they have.
Training can make an individual work effectively and efficiently. Acquiring more skills
opens up an ocean of opportunities for MBA students.
In this regard, the students can undergo training for enhancing their skills and submit
a report after the 2nd semester examinations as a part of project work. The detailed guidelines
are as under:
Guidelines for students
1. Students can undergo training for a period of 4 weeks (1 Month) immediately after the
2nd semester examinations.
2. Training should be related to enhancing knowledge and skills.
3. Students can undertake training related to enhancement of skills and knowledge.
4. Training should be obtained from any training institutes recognized by the
government of India or government of Karnataka or any company-recognized training
centres. Training can be online or offline.
5. Taking training from globally recognized companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon,
TATA group etc., is allowed.
6. Undergoing training programs from the MOOCs website is not entertained.
7. Attendance (If available) and Assessment reports from the training institute or
training centres should be submitted to the guide.
8. Approval from the university authorities is required for undergoing the proposed
training.
9. On-the-job training is not allowed.
10. Training report should be minimum 36 Pages or more.
Benefits of Training Programs for MBA students
In the present competitive job market only post-graduation degree is not enough to impress
the employers to get selected from a large group of competitors who may be better qualified
or skilled to gain the job. So in order to stand up in the tough competition today a MBA
student need to possess extra skills and distinguished credits to himself/herself, which can
make them recognized and distinguished from others. Hence with some kind of concrete
work experience and skills gained through training program students have brighter chances to
surpass their competitors for a job.
Training programs undertaken by students will get them valuable work experience, Improve
Knowledge and practical skills for the job.
Learn to apply theoretical concepts in real-life. So, training programs can help a MBA
students learn better and can get ready for the job, by adding more to their skill sets.

Marketing, B2C Marketing, supply chain management, D2C etc.,
7) HR topics related training programs like Talent Development, Talent acquisition,
Learning and Performance, Digital HR, HR Metrics & Dash boarding, Train the trainer,
Strategic Leadership skills, business intelligence, emotional intelligence, Intelligence
quotient, Training Design & Delivery, Adult Learning, Delivering Exceptional Learning
Experiences etc.,

9) Business analytics/Research methodology soft wares like SPSS, SAS, Machine learning,

CERTIFICATE OF ORIGINALITY
This is to certify that the Training report entitled “Title of the training report” is an original
work of Mr./Ms.___________ bearing University Register Number ________________ and
is being submitted in partial fulfillment for the award of the Master’s Degree in Business
Administration of Bengaluru City University. The report has not been submitted earlier either
to this University /Institution for the fulfillment of the requirement of any course of study.

Guide as per the regulations of Bengaluru City University.
1. The report shall be computer typed (English- US/British, Font -Times Roman, Size-12
point, Double spacing between lines) and printed on A4 size paper.
2. The report shall be hard bound with cover page in white color. The name of the
candidate, degree, month of training, college name shall be printed in black on the
cover [refer sample sheet (title page/front page)].
3. The report shall be typed on one side only with double space with a margin 3.5 cm on
the left, 2.5 cm on the top, and 1.25 cm on the right and at bottom.
4. In the report, the title page [Refer sample sheet (title Page/front page)] should be given
first then the Certificate by Company/Industry/Institute and then candidate’s
declaration, followed by an abstract of the report (not exceeding one page). This should
be followed by the acknowledgment, list of figures/list of tables,
notations/nomenclature, and then contents with page nos.
6. The font for the chapter title should be Times New Roman, Bold, Capital, Size-16 point
and center aligned.
7. The font for the Headings should be Times New Roman, Bold, and Size-14 point. The
font for the sub- headings should be Times New Roman, Bold, and Size-12 point.
8. Figures should be numbered as Figure1.1, Figure 1.2, Figure 1.3 etc. in chapter 1.
Similarly, as Figure 2.1, Figure 2.2, Figure 2.3 etc. in chapter 2 and so on.
9. Tables should be numbered as Table 1.1, Table 1.2, Table 1.3 etc. in chapter 1.
Similarly, as Table 2.1, Table 2.2, Table 2.3 etc. in chapter 2 and so on.
11. The graphs (optional) should be combined for the same parameters for proper
comparison. Single graph should be avoided as far as possible.

supposed to be included in appendix
