ADMINISTRATIVE INSTRUCTIONS
TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO CADET FORCE
INTERFAITH SERVICE 2023

GENERAL
1. The Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force will stage two Interfaith Services in commemoration of its 113th
Anniversary on Saturday 6th May 2023 in Tobago and Sunday 7th May 2023 in Trinidad.
2. The Trinidad service will take place at the St Phillip and St James RC Church, 106 – 114 Main Road,
Chaguanas at 1100 hours.
3. The Commandant’s Office will coordinate with the Cadet Force Division, CO 3TTCF, CO SSB and CO
CCB to finalize arrangements for the Tobago service on Saturday 6th May 2023. A separate administrative
instruction will be published for the Tobago parade.

PARTICIPATION
4. All Trinidad Battalions will participate in the Chaguanas parade. 3TTCF is not required to have troops
on this parade.
5. The Trinidad parade will consist of four (4) detachments of fifty (50) cadets each including right
marker and left guide for the Parade.
6. The following 3TTCF Headquarters personnel will be in attendance for the Trinidad parade.

7. Adults not rostered for the parade or other duties on the day, will be present and attend the Church
Service and Mess functions afterward.
8. The senior NCO from each Battalion will furnish the Parade RSM with a state report at the FUP, for
onward transmission to TTCF FHQ.

DRESS
9. The dress for the parade is as follows:
a. No. 5 Dress – Drill Order. All parade personnel. Aviation and Naval personnel shall wear
corresponding dress.
b. All adults not on parade shall wear Service Dress A or Drill Order.
c. Aviation and Naval personnel of equivalent ranks will wear corresponding Dress.
d. Swords will not be carried.
e. Adults will wear medal ribbons.
f. All Ranks are reminded that they are not to appear in ‘mixed dress’ whilst proceeding to or
returning from the Parade.

DUTY COMPANY
17. The CO 2TTCF is responsible for providing a Duty Squad of no less than fifteen (15) OR’s under the
direction of the Duty Company Warrant Officer to treat with the following:
a. Restoration of the dismissal compound following the serving of rations.
b. Placing and removal of the podium for the saluting dais.
c. Provide all necessary assistance to the Directing Officer in making the physical arrangements.

PICQUETS
18. The CO CCB shall arrange for two (2) Petty Officers to act as picquets at the saluting dais.

ARMS
19. Arms will not be carried by troops on Parade.
20. The Colour Escorts will escort the Colour with arms and fixed bayonets.
21. The CFD is responsible for providing two (2) rifles with white slings and bayonets for use by the
Escorts.
CHURCH SERVICE PROGRAMME
22. The Commandant’s Office will liaise with the Chaplains and Cadet Force Division to coordinate the
preparation of the Church Service Programme.

23. The CO 2TTCF and CO CCB shall detail five (5) OR’s each, as readers for the church service and to
attend a rehearsal at the Church on Thursday 4th May 2023.

PARADE ROUTE
24. TO CHURCH: The parade will proceed out of Presentation College, Chaguanas onto Rene Street facing
west then south onto the Caroni Savannah Road then east onto the Chaguanas Main Road in front of the
Church of St. Philip and St. James. The parade will be broken off and troops filed into the church for service.

25. FROM CHURCH (1.63km ≈ 1.01mi): The parade will reform ranks on the Chaguanas Main Road facing
north. The parade will be turned to the right and proceed east along the Chaguanas Main Road. A salute will
be taken in front of the Centre City Mall Entrance. The parade will continue along Chaguanas Main Road
before turning north onto Endeavour Road, then east along Yard Street before turning north onto Yves Street
to be dismissed on the field at Presentation College, Chaguanas.

REHEARSALS
26. A rehearsal for the service will be held on Thursday 4th May 2023 at the church at 1700 hours.
27. The Directing Officer will arrange a Briefing Session for all duty staff and the ten cadet readers on
the day of the rehearsals.
28. The Ensign will arrange for the drill colour to be available for the rehearsal.
29. The Bandmaster will arrange rehearsals for the Band, ensure timely arrival of Band equipment and
liaise with the Coordinating Officer to ensure that all physical arrangements are place for the band for the
day of the parade.

DEPORTMENT
30. All ranks are reminded to dress and deport themselves in a smart and professional manner at all
times.

COMPLIMENTS
31. All Ranks are to ensure that the necessary compliments are paid at all times.

SERVICE SUPPORT
32. The Chaplains are responsible for permission and access for use of St Phillip and St James RC Church
33. The CO SSB will ensure that the Medical Unit as well as the Band and Corps of Drums are deployed
to support the Parade and will liaise with the CFD to arrange an ambulance service for the Parade.

34. The CFD is responsible for providing service support in the following areas:
a. Permission and access for use of Chaguanas Borough Corporation Auditorium as well as parking
facilities.
b. Police approval of the route as well as requesting road traffic assistance for the parade.
c. Preparation and distribution of invitations for the Church Service and Officers Mess brunch. The
Adjutant will liaise with the CFD to finalise the guest list.
d. Transport:
i. Vehicle and driver for the Commandant (Ag)
ii. Air and ground transportation for the 3TTCF personnel required to attend.
iii. TTCF Colour Party (x4 persons)
iv. TTCF HQ – Band (x40 persons)
v. Rifles (x2) with white slings for Colour Escorts
vi. Transport for troop movement in accordance with the Movement Details included as
Annex B to this Administrative Instruction. Battalion Commanders shall inform the CFD of
their parade numbers by 21 April 2023, to ensure that suitable transport arrangements
are made for their troops. Only troops on parade will be permitted on the transport
provided.
e. Messing:
i. Lunch for all OR’s on Parade, Band and Duty Company (x270). Rations will be distributed
at Presentation College, Chagaunas.
ii. Brunch for Officers Mess and invited guests (x150).
iii. Brunch for Warrant Officers, Senior Rates and Adult Sergeants’ Mess and invited guests
(x150).
iv. The Messing Officer is authorised to liaise with the CFO regarding the catering
arrangements for the feeding of the OR’s.

MESS FUNCTIONS
35. There will be an Officers Mess brunch held at the Chaguanas Borough Corporation Auditorium
following the dismissal of the parade. Maj. L. Driscoll, PMC Officers’ Mess is responsible for the
successful execution of this event.

36. The Warrant Officers, Senior Rates and Adult Sergeants Mess brunch will be held at the Presentation
College Auditorium following the dismissal of the parade. The PMC Warrant Officers Adult Sergeants
and Senior Rates Mess is responsible for the successful execution of this event.

37. Adults are required to make a $200 contribution to defer the cost of the respective Mess functions.
Adults are encouraged to make their contributions in a timely manner to ensure that proper catering
arrangements are made.

38. The PMC of the Officers Mess and the PMC of the Warrant Officers, Senior Rates and Adult Sergeants
Mess are responsible for receiving the contributions of their respective Mess members.

39. The respective PMC’s shall liaise with the CFD regarding the catering arrangements for their Mess
functions.

ANY OTHER RELATED ACTIVITIES


40. The Directing Officer is authorised to treat with any other related activity not covered by this
Administrative Instruction for the successful execution of the exercise.

SYNCHRONIZATION
41. All Ranks will synchronize their watches with Radio 100.1 FM at 0800 hours on Sunday 7th May 2023.

5. OiC Ushers a. Will work under the direction of the Protocol Officer regarding the
seating plan and any other guidance relevant to these duties.
b. Will ensure that invited guests are met on arrival and escorted to their
seats.
c. Will supervise the Ushers and ensure that all are familiar with their
duties.
6. Ushers a. Responsible to the Oic Ushers for receiving guests and all attending
personnel and ushering them to their seats.
7. Aide to His Worship a. Will ensure that the Mayor is guided as required and comfortable at all
the Mayor times during the proceedings
