1. Introduction
The institution has been carrying out various activities since the time it is established to
realize the vision to see building up of bridge to transform our country to overall prosperity
by supported with innovation technology knowledge and research skill has been implemented
as of very recently.

Mission: By 2022, the livelihood of the region's society will be supported by science,
technology and information technology Improved vision.

Vision: Finding Effective Technologies Choosing and applying ensuring the region's growth
through the development and transfer of science and technology.

In this organization placement, the team conducted different activities to identify significance
areas to give training for Harari region innovation and Technology Agency. The team
interviewed the Head of the innovation of Technology Agency and two senior software
developers. The response were “The employees of the innovation and Technology Agency
are need a training on the .NET software framework (MVC) and R software because this
software are important and flexible for web application development and data analysis
respectively. From the interview result, the team understand that they have interest on the
above software. The team expected that the employees of the innovation of Technology
Agency have experience and Knowledge to develop console, web application, and desktop
application and like to our expectations, they have working experiences on web development
using and but they are new for R software.
1.1 Personal Priorities for your organizational placement
Priority-1
 Our team expected that the employees of innovation and technology agency are
experienced with the web application development: But, from the interview result, the
team identified that they are using react, Ajax and Bootstrap for their web application
development.
Priority-2

 Our team expected that the employees of innovation and technology agency have enough
experience and Knowledge to develop web application. Similar to our expectations, they
do have experiences but not using emerging technology framework to develop web
application

Task I: Interview with the head of the innovation and Technology Agency

1. What are the gaps of the innovation and Technology Agency employees that you consider
to be supported? : Response: The Head of the innovation and Technology Agency replied
that the employees of the organization need training on the .NET frameworks especially
on MVC technology for web application development and R software for data analysis.
The reason, MVC is flexibility, robustness , scalable and maintainable

organization? Response: The Head, replied that the main web development framework
knew by the employees include; bootstrap, react and django Ajax.
3. Have you get Training on R software so far? Response: He replied, did not get any
trainer who will give practical training for us on R software
4. If you get the chance of the training when you planned to take the training to your
employees? Response: the head replied , they are ready to take training as soon as
possible

The team conducted an interview with senior software developer of the organization and
summarized and presented their responses here below:

1. What are the frameworks used by your team to develop web application and any
application in your organization? Response: He replied, we are doing web application
using; bootstrap, react and django.
2. What types of training you took earlier for application development? Response: she
replied that they took some training on bootstrap, react, CSS, AJAX and django. NB it
indicated that they need training on MVC to develop dynamic, flexible and maintainable
website.

Task III

Planning and delivery training: From the above interview conducted with the head of
innovation and technology Agency and senior software developers. We are understood that
they need the training on R software and MVC framework. By discussion with the head of
the, the team designed and delivered successful training to the employees of innovation and
technology agency. During the training, we practiced what we learned in the HDP training,
including session planning, preparation, and time management
Task IV

Evaluation of the Report

The training was given to the innovation and technology agency for four successive days.
The training objectives were successfully delivered on the scheduled dates. The trainees get
practice, how to develop web application using MVC technology and how to analysis data
using R software. The training planning and its preparation were adequate for the team.
Strength: The trainees are experienced with the practical knowledge of web development and
the trainees are committed and highly interested to take the training.
Limitations: The employees are new for MVC and R software and limited training time.

Data interpretation

Final reflection on the organization Placement: From the organization placement as a


whole, the team learned a lot about how we should get prepared while giving similar pieces
of training including how we should effectively manage our time. We have got a chance to
practicing active learning methods that we have learned in the HDP training. This experience
is important to improve our morale for providing training to other similar organizations and it
encouraged the team to conduct training needs assessments.
