Module 1 Exercise 1

TASK: In at least 100 words to 250 words describe your activities in School and in your
Community that shows your Role as Youth in Nation Building.

Nation Building involves the active participation of its citizens in various walks of life. A
strong and powerful nation is built on dedication and hard work of its citizen and some amount
of smart planning on the part of the Government. The big question is, “Who is the most
responsible for the Nation Building?” Youths constitute major portion of the total national
population, such a major portion of the population plays an important role in the development
of the nation and cannot be ignored. Mainly, I as a student deal with study, as duty. This very
duty of process of learning brings knowledge and off course social, cultural, and traditional
touches. This very tradition and culture remain in my heart till I get older and become a sincere
part of the nation and society. Student‟s life gives a lot to me by virtue of taking part in co-
curricular activities and many other activities that could help Philippines to be there in its very
best version. These very habits help me to inculcate patriotic touch. I am proud to say that I
had done great in nation building while I‟m in school. In fact, I did promote the „Respect to the
Philippine Flag and Obey School‟s Rules and Regulations‟ those were my best projects while I‟m
the President of the Council. As a responsible youth, I also take part in small activities or events
that help others. Even while I am a student, I am helping others by starting various kinds of
small activities like book-drives, tree plantation events, cleaning drives and community service
for aged people in our localities. Especially during this pandemic, I also participated in
community pantry and in health promotion. I was an officer in our barangay too; my duties are
to teach street children who cannot afford to go to school, feed malnourish children, introducing
laws to children, promote healthy environment and most importantly to teach children to be
patient and that they should promote peace also. See, youths including me play a significant
role in progress and development of the nation. We can bring rapid change and development
with sincere efforts. We have fire in ourselves to fly high and chase the sky. So, if the power of
youth is used wisely and optimally then it can surely lead to the national development.
