Writing assessment Task 3 points: all points required by the topic fully covered/minimum errors; 20 achievemen 2 points: points required by the topic covered in some detail/several points t errors; 1 point: some omissions and/or irrelevant material/basic errors; Cohesion 3 points: well organised with variety of linking devices; and 2 points: quite well organised, suitable linking devices; coherence 1 point: rather badly organised, few linking devices; Vocabulary 7 points for correspondence to topical vocabulary. MISTAKES: lexical – 1 point; spelling – 0.5 points; Grammar 7 points maximum. and MISTAKES: grammar – 1 point; article, preposition – 0.5 points accuracy
