To gain that worth having, it may be necessary to lose everything else. - Bernadette Devlin...

"Without ambition one starts nothing. Without work one finishes nothing. The prize will not be sent to you. You have to win it. The man who knows how will always have a job. The man who also knows why will always be his boss. As to methods there may be a million and then some, but principles are few. The man who grasps principles can successfully select his own methods. The man who tries methods, ignoring principles, is sure to have trouble." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson "Dwell not on the past. Use it to illustrate a point, then leave it behind. Nothing really matters except what you do now in this instant of time. From this moment onwards you can be an entirely different person, filled with love and understanding, ready with an outstretched hand, uplifted and positive in every thought and deed." ~ Eileen Caddy
If you can dream it, you can do it. - Walt Disney The thing always happens that you truly believe in; and belief in a thing makes it happen. - Frank Lloyd Wright Take your life in your own hands and what happens? A terrible thing: no one is to blame. - Erica Jong The search for someone to blame is always successful. - Robert Half Eliphas Levi Pure mathematics exit by themselves; no will produces them, no power can limit them, they are eternal laws. Bob Marley Oh Brothers, we should know and not believe. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad Every time you look at a Black Man, youre looking at God. Huey P. Newton I can understand why man feels the need to create god, particularly in earlier periods of history when scientific understanding was limited. The phenomena that man observed around him in the universe sometimes overwhelmed him; he could not explain or account for the mysteries of nature. But I think that when man clings to the idea of a god, who he has created and placed in the heavens, he actually reduces himself and his own potential. The more he attributes to god, the more inferior he becomes, the less responsible for his own destiny. He says to god, I am weak but thou art mighty, and therefore accepts things as they are; content to leave the running of the world to a supernatural force greater than himself. In a metaphysical sense we based the expression All Power to the People on the idea of Man as God. I have no other God but Man, and I firmly believe that Man is the highest chief good. If you are obligated to be true and honest to anyone, it is your god, and if each Man is God, then you must be true to him. If you believe Man is the ultimate being, then you will act according to your belief, your attitude and behavior toward Man is a kind of religion in itself, with the high standards of responsibility.

Joseph Smith First, God himself, who sits enthroned in yonder heavens, is a Man like unto one of yourselves, that is the great secretI am going to tell you how God became God. We have imagined that God was not God from all eternity. God himself, the Father of us all dwelt on an Earth the same as Jesus Christ himself didyou have got to learn how to be Gods yourselves Arthur Schopenhauer The fruits of Christianity were religious wars, butcheries, crusades, inquisitions, extermination of the natives of America, and the introduction of African slaves in their place. KRS-One Its funny to look at a religion like Christianity, and see the religious leaders of the Christian faith, so involved in politics while Jesus, their savior, was killed by politicians. Christians fail to realize that Jesus was a revolutionary that hung out with criminals and diseased people, trying to educate them on a better way of life. He spoke out against government and was killed, simple. Jesus, the revolutionary, gave only two laws in his life time. Love your brother as you love yourself, and love the creator as your love yourself. Yet these are the two hardest laws for people to observe. Carl Gustav Jung The refined man realizes that his life is not stagnant or limited by his physical presence in a geographical area; his mind is not only synonymous (with), but (is) essentially the Universal Mind, or Consciousness, that comprehends and contains all that exists. An understanding heart is everything in a teacher, and cannot be esteemed highly enough. One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feeling. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child. Every form of addiction is bad, no matter whether the narcotic be alcohol, morphine or idealism. Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to a better understanding of ourselves. Nobody, as long as he moves about among the chaotic currents of life, is without trouble. Nothing has a stronger influence psychologically on their environment and especially on their children than the unlived life of the parent. The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves. The healthy man does not torture others - generally it is the tortured who turn into torturers. The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed. The shoe that fits one person pinches another; there is no recipe for living that suits all cases. We cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses. As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light in the darkness of mere being. Carl Jung, "Memories, Dreams, Reflections", 1962 The least of things with a meaning is worth more in life than the greatest of things without it.

Carl Jung, "Modern Man in Search of a Soul" Where love rules, there is no will to power, and where power predominates, love is lacking. The one is the shadow of the other. Carl Jung, "On the Psychology of the Unconciousness", 1917 "The first task of a leader is to keep hope alive." ~ Joe Batten "The chief executive who knows his strengths and weaknesses as a leader is likely to be far more effective than the one who remains blind to them. He also is on the road to humility -- that priceless attitude of openness to life that can help a manager absorb mistakes, failures, or personal shortcomings." ~ John Adair "The leader seeks to communicate his vision to his followers. He captures their attention with his optimistic intuition of possible solutions to their needs. He influences them by the dynamism of his faith. He demonstrates confidence that the challenge can be met, the need resolved, the crisis overcome." ~ John Haggai "Certainly a leader needs a clear vision of the organization and where it is going, but a vision is of little value unless it is shared in a way so as to generate enthusiasm and commitment. Leadership and communication are inseparable." ~ Claude Taylor It was the wisest fool 'n Christendom who authorized the translation and publication of the first Protestant version of the Bible into English. He came to the English throne in 1603 and quickly became unpopular because of his disgusting personal habits and his unsavory character. He pretended to be a scholar in theology and philosophy, but his learning was shallow and superficial. He wallowed in filth, moral and physical, but was endowed with a share of cunning that his associates called a kind of crooked wisdom. For his new edition of the Bible he issued a set of personal Rules the translators were to follow and ordered revisions to proceed, although he never contributed a farthing to its cost. Work began in early 1607the translators handed over the revisers manuscripts of what is now called the King James Bible to King James for his final personal approval. It was self-evident that James was not competent to check their work and edit it, so he passed the manuscripts to the greatest genius of all timeSir Francis Bacon - Tony Bushby (The Bible Fraud) Happiness in intelligent people is the rarest thing I know. - Ernest Hemingway Turn your mind away from things which are not permanent. - Buddha...
