    “RESOLUTION CORDIALLY INFORMING GOV. ALEXANDER “AYEC” T.


    PIMENTEL, THIS PROVINCE OF THE PRESENCE OF TWO ARMED GROUPS
    DISPUTING FOR A GOLD MINING TERRITORY AT BARANGAY TAMBIS,
    THIS MUNICIPALITY, WHICH IS CAUSING FEAR AMONG THE RESIDENTS
    THEREAT; AND SEEKING SECURITY ASSISTANCE TO MAINTAIN THE
    PEACE AND ORDER AT THE SAID BARANGAY”

    WHEREAS, information has been received by the Sangguniang Bayan that an alleged armed
    group, reportedly headed by certain Dondon Luna, is currently operating a gold mining plant at Barangay
    Tambis, this municipality;

    WHEREAS, said group is being confronted by another armed group, allegedly led by certain
    Louie Ceniza, in an attempt to claim the same mining area in the same Barangay, which resulted in
    gunfire that alarmed the local officials and inhabitants; thus, causing fear and anxiety among the
    residents;

    WHEREAS, the august Body is prompted with serious concern on the aforesaid event as the
    dispute has escalated to a point where the safety and security of the residents of Barangay Tambis are
    being compromised;

    WHEREAS, the safety and security of the residents of Brgy. Tambis is of paramount
    importance, thus, the Council, cognizant of the duty of the government to protect the lives and property of
    its citizens, urgently needs security assistance from the Provincial Government to address the situation
    and restore peace and order to the community - that may include deployment of additional army
    personnel to the area to undertake mitigating measures to be coordinated with local authorities.

    NOW, THEREFORE:

    BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Bayan of Barobo, Surigao del Sur, to:

    CORDIALLY INFORM GOV. ALEXANDER “AYEC” T. PIMENTEL, THIS PROVINCE


    OF THE PRESENCE OF TWO ARMED GROUPS DISPUTING FOR A GOLD MINING
    TERRITORY AT BARANGAY TAMBIS, THIS MUNICIPALITY, WHICH IS CAUSING
    FEAR AMONG THE RESIDENTS THEREOF; AND SEEK SECURITY ASSISTANCE TO
    MAINTAIN THE PEACE AND ORDER AT THE SAID BARANGAY

    RESOLVED FINALLY, to furnish copies of this resolution to the following personalities and
    dignitaries for their information, reference, and preferential action:
