    Water-Dispersed Two-Component Epoxy Resin

    Description Technical & Physical Data


    PENTENS E-10 is a reactive two-component system,
    consisting of modified phenol-type epoxy resin Appearance (mixed) Milky emulsion
    (A-Comp.) and water-emulsified epoxy resin hardener Specific Gravity (mixed) Approx. 1.01 @ 25°C
    (B-Comp.). This system could actually be formulated Solid Content (%) > 80
    using water as a carrier and produces film with Viscosity (Brookfield), (cP) 3000 (approx.)
    outstanding appearance. Pot Life 45-60 minutes @ 25°C
    Application of 24 hours @ 25°C and
    PENTENS E-10 is safe for use in sensitive areas and it

    Coverage
    Advantages Each coat is applied by roller at 0.2kg/m2. Coverage

    Instruction for Use
    Surface Preparation
    All surfaces to be treated must be structurally sound
    and all previous coatings, adhesives, efflorescence or
    laitance should be removed by chipping, abrasive blast
    cleaning, high-pressure water washing, mechanical
    scrubbing or other suitable means.

    Dry surfaces should be sprayed with a fine mist of


    water prior to the application of the PENTENS E-10.

    Mixing
    PENTENS E-10 A/B must be mixed homogeneously
    prior to application with an electrical or pneumatic
    power stirrer at approximately 300 - 400 rpm.
    (Mixing time is approximately 3-4 minutes depending
    on circumstances as it may take a longer time to
    achieve a homogeneous mix in certain circumstances.)

    Application
    Spread the material using a roller, brush or spray at an
    approximate rate of 0.2kg/m2 to achieve a smooth
    coverage and finish.

    Wait for 8 hours to cure before applying topping.

    Safety
    PENTENS E-10 may cause irritation. Gloves and
    protective goggles must be worn during application
    and use. Avoid direct contact with skin, eyes and
    avoid breathing in vapor. Wear protective gloves
    when mixing or applying it. If swallowed, do not
    induce vomiting but quickly seek medical advice. If
    contact with skin occurs, remove contaminated
    clothing and wash for a minimum of 15 minutes or
    seek medical advice if symptom persists.
