Guidelines for Miting de Avance

1. Candidates are expected to come prepared and in proper uniform attire.

2. For the introductions each party will be given 40 minutes to introduce themselves and present their General
Platforms in the most creative way they can. Visuals are highly encouraged.
3. Candidates must observe time limit. The SBO Committee shall be strict with time.
4. Stick to issues and platforms, not personalities. Observe this also during the open forum.
5. Question & Answer Portion or Open Forum (10 minutes maximum)- The panelist and student body may ask
questions to the candidates. If a question is addressed to the party, the party may choose a representative to
answer.
6. The members of the audience must observe proper behavior (no jeering, “boo”s) - respect to the candidates.
7. Do not repeat questions that have already been asked.
8. Address questions to the candidates relevant to their position.
9. Ask relevant and sensible questions - personal questions regarding the candidate will not be entertained.
