PROPOSED POLICY OF THE SCHOOL PILOT SECTION PROGRAM

Rationale of the Proposal:

It has been widely reported and predicted in the media over

the past year or two, that the COVID-19 pandemic will cause
pupils to lose "years" of academic and social development.
Numerous of these claims are based on the first-hand experiences
of school personnel, including overworked school psychologists,
counselors, and instructors, who have seen significant increases
in problematic student behaviors and a decline in academic
ability. Thus, the school wanted to create individuals with
upperhand in academic areas and moreover in terms of discipline
and attitude.

Anchored to Imitation theory, individuals learn by observing and

copying the behaviors of others. This concept applies to all age groups,
including kindergarten to 12th-grade students. Educators can use imitation
theory to facilitate a positive learning environment, encourage
socialization and enhance students’ critical thinking skills (Lynch, M.
2023).

Pilot section may have the following effects with other

students in a regular sections;
1. Increase the positivity in learning,
2. Increase in the interest and motivation to study more
and become a student in a pilot section for the next
school year,
3. Strengthen the socialization of the students; can
create a peer tutoring program,
4. Become a role model for other students, specifically
on the positive attitude and behavior.
