Quarter 3 – Module 9: The Quality of Enhanced Product Using Rubrics
Republic Act 8293, Section 176 states that no copyright shall subsist in any
work of the Government of the Philippines. However, prior approval of the
government agency or office wherein the work is created shall be necessary for
exploitation of such work for profit. Such agency or office may, among other things,
impose as a condition the payment of royalties.
This learning material hopes to engage the learners in guided and independent
learning activities at their own pace and time. Further, this also aims to help learners
acquire the needed 21st century skills especially the 5 Cs, namely: Communication,
Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Character while taking into
consideration their needs and circumstances.

In accomplishing the said tasks, by rating each of it, what are your

question can be answered, as we discuss this lesson about, on how to assess
the quality of enhanced product using rubrics.
LESSON
When we are making certain type of projects, we tend to make sure that
the finish product of this task would meet the objective given. But have you
ever asked yourself first, if what are the things to do before you make a certain
project? Or have you been thinking also of what are the criteria to consider in
making the said project? To make everything clear before making a particular
type of project or activity let as discuss the following terms: the rubrics and
how does this related to criteria, evaluation, and assessment, because the
following words are interrelated to make sure that you will have a quality
enhanced finish product.
RUBRICS – is typically an evaluation tool or set of
guidelines used to promote the consistent
application of learning expectations, learning
objectives, or learning standards in the
classroom, or to measure their attainment against
a consistent set of criteria.
- It is a scoring tool that explicitly describes the
instructor's/teacher’s performance expectations
for an assignment or piece of work/project.

CRITERIA – it is said to be the bases of judgement in all
type of work, activity or certainly a project.

Activity 1
This school year the section Mabini has 40 pupils. They were
grouped by their teacher in TLE6 into 5. Each of the group has 8
members, among the 8 members they will choose 1 leader and 1
assistant leader. Their teacher asks them to make a wooden stool.
Ahead of time before the day comes. Their teacher instructed them
already to bring the materials and other tools they are about to use
in creating the said project.
Directions: Imagine that you are one of the members of section Mabini, rate
yourself by using the student self-assessment using the given
rubrics in making a project.

Activity 3
Read and understand the given situation.
Each group in section Mabini created their group project the “Wooden
Stool”. Every group are happy because they created the output well, because
they followed what their TLE6 teacher instructed to them before they make
the said task.
As part of the said tasks their teacher ask them to evaluate/assess
their work by using criterion based of project assessment/evaluation given
in figure 2 of this module.
Directions: Imagine that you are one of the members of section Mabini,
