    Q1 Answer the followings questions briefly: (10 marks) Obtained 10
    a. You are opening a Chinese café and you need to design a logo and brochure. Explain what
    the necessary information are you need to design the logo and brochure of your café.

    Ill look for the things that attract most of the people. What people expect from a chinese cafe and design
    accordingly. Develop or write a message for example like “Ufone sab keh do”. Make a process plan
    accordingly but always keep in mind the budget. Brochures will be designed by taking pictures of the
    delicious food that we serve in our cafe. They are mashed together in the brochure and other details will
    also be given like email or phone number etc. For a logo I'll need to decide a pattern or a message or just
    a family name. After seeing the location the logo would be finalized.

    b.Name and Explain any 4 tools used in Photoshop.

    1. Quick Selection Tool:

    A selection tool used to select manually parts of the picture that you want to edit, cut or paste.

    2. Object Selection Tool:

    This new tool helped save so much time from manual selection. Just select this tool and move around the
    object. It will auto select the object best way possible.

    3. Rectangle Tool:

    This tool is used to make Rectangular shapes. Shapes can be transparent or solid.

    4. Crop tool:

    This tool is used to crop the picture.


    5. Blur Tool:

    This tool is used to blur the part of pictures where your brush commands.

    c. What is raster /pixel and vector graphics, explain briefly.

    Raster pixels are used in photography or in regular picture. Movies and Dramas use raster pixels. Vector
    graphics are used in making logos or designs from the scratch it consists of lines and number.

    d.Using adobe illustrator explain the steps how to open a new file and what measurements to
    set and what color type to choose for making a design for printing.

    Create file > Change dpi to 300 > Select color (CMYK) > Select size as per the requirement.

    e. What resolution/DPI and color mode required for digital graphics using in digital
    platforms.

    72 dpi is used for digital graphics and RGB

    f. What resolution/DPI and color mode required for offset printing graphics using in all kind
    of papers.
    300 dpi is used for printing graphics and Color scheme of CMYK is used.

    Q2. Pick any brand of your choice and use 2-3 products of that brand, take pictures of the
    products (do photography). Use that picture to design a half page advertisement for
    newspaper in Photoshop. (e.g. you picked Khaadi, by taking picture of the suit, perfume or
    bag, use these pictures to make an advertisement for Khaadi for a newspaper)

    Q4. Assume that you are a famous food blogger. Now take picture of any food professionally (do
    not download) and use that picture to make an Instagram post for your page. Use Photoshop to
    edit the picture and add caption to it as well. Also suggest a good caption for your post.
