A. Product
CERABEST FUGA 105 / CERABEST FUGA L
Deliver materials to jobsite in sealed, undamaged bags. Each bag shall be identified with material name,
dates of manufacture / expiry and store in covered/roofed areas.
D. Surface Preparation
1. Make sure the tiles have been correctly installed according to relevant standards and manufacturer
recommendations. The tile adhesive mortar should be hardened enough (please check TDS of the
tile adhesive used for minimum waiting time for tile grouting).
2. Foreign substances that prevent adhesion such as dust, dirt, form oil, scoria, paint and other
residues and wastes such as cement, plaster and concrete should be removed from the surface of
application.
3. The joints should be of adequate thickness and depth.
4. In case of using porous / very porous tiles, in order to avoid staining (pigment migration) and color
differences in joint filler, a test should be carried out on a small surface.
www.bostik.com
E. Mixing
CeraBest Fuga 105: One bag of 20 kg powder mixes into 5.0 to 6.0 litres of water.
CeraBest Fuga L: One bag of 10 kg powder mixes into 3.0 to 3.4 litres of water.
1. Add water to bucket.
2. Mix powder into water with mechanical stirring.
3. Mix until smooth.
4. Allow the mixed mortar to stand for 2 - 3 minutes and mix again
for 1-2 minutes before using.
Note: The paste can “wet out” during mixing so make sure that it is mixed sufficiently before adding more water. Do not add
more water after the initial mixing. Discard when the product stiffens in the bucket. Use a drill with suitable mixing paddle
designed for the task and do not mix by hand.
F. Application
1. Ready-to-use mortar should be spread on the floor with a rubber squeegee, applying with
enough pressure such that material goes deeply and smoothly. The leftovers should be removed
from the surface carefully.
2. When mortar begins to dry, the application surface is slightly wetted.
3. The surfaces covered with joint filler are cleaned with a sponge and polished.
4. Allow mortar to cure (approx. 24 hours) to harden adequately before subjecting to traffic.
All workmanship must be carried out in accordance with good workmanship practices.
F. Coverage
On site coverage will vary widely as it is dependent on a large number of variables. These include but are
not limited to: application technique, joint width and depth, tile dimensions, tile sides texture, and
wastage.
As such the following coverage is intended as a guide only. As such coverage estimates are inaccurate. It
is advised that comparisons between products are based on the mixed volume.
