every household. Basic needs like bags, papers, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, folders, fasteners
and clear book to help learners engage in lessons, as they gain knowledge they can bring back to
their community to improve overall welfare.
School supplies are absolutely essential for each child and the parents must buy all of
them at the beginning of each academic year and also whenever the need arises for the same
during the session. These supplies include things of use for students like note books, other
stationary like pencils, pens, erasers and the like. Things like those which are needed for
extracurricular activities in school are also included in what is termed as school supplies. For
instance, art and craft material, paints and crayons, sportswear and other sports merchandise are
included in these supplies.

School supplies are very useful for kids as well as teachers. Though, there are different
kinds of things for each category as both of them have different tasks and duties to perform. For
instance, it is very important for the teachers and the school classrooms to have bulletin boards
to display any message or picture or schedule that will be of significance to the students. Bulletin
boards can be used to display any important and essential information to the students regarding
various issues and also to make announcements relating to different tasks and activities.

The awarding of School Supplies was administered last October 18, 2022 and the program
started at 9:30 AM with prayers and orientation of the beneficiaries. The proponent also gave the
overview of the project and stated her objectives in conducting this project, also she presented all
the school supply kit to be given to the grade three learners that was inside the supply kit bag.
The awarding observes proper health protocols and each recipient wear their face mask during
the whole duration of the program.
The proponent took the opportunity to plan the distribution of School supplies to the
learners on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 since the proponent observes that the grade 3 learners
doesn’t have enough school supplies that is very essential to bring on their day to day life in
school for their learning.

To conclude, Project CHEL aimed to:

1. Provide aid in school supplies to all Grade 3 learners such as bags, papers, pencils,
erasers, sharpeners, folders, fasteners and clear book.
2. Give assistance to parents in providing school supplies.
3. Increase the participation and submission rate of learners’ outputs.
4. Increase the quality of outputs and requirements of resulting to rise in academic
performance of learners who are left behind due to inadequate school supplies. It may not
solve everything especially the problem of our country but atleast it can help even in the
small things just to lessen and also learners will apply the importance of having additional
school supplies.
