Electrical Engineering Department

Vision:

To provide student-centric learning environment and prepare them to face global challenges
in the field of Electrical Engineering.

Mission:
1. To prepare students for successful career, employment, and research.
2. To build a strong foundation of moral, ethics, self–confidence through conducive learning
environment in collaboration with stake holders.

Program Educational Objectives:

Analyze and solve Electrical Engineering problems by applying basic principles

PEO 1 of Mathematics, Science, and Engineering.

Innovate, Simulate, Develop and Test electrical circuits for offering solutions to
a real-life situation and also be able to use modern tools and techniques to lead
PEO 2
them to a successful professional career.

Build strong theoretical and practical knowledge amongst students to pursue

higher education and continue self-development in Electrical Engineering needed
PEO 3
for various industries.

Exhibit professional attitude, effective Electrical Engineering skills, in order to

function in national and multinational organization or an entrepreneur and to be
PEO 4 sensitive to ethical, social, and environmental issues while performing their
professional duties.
Program Outcomes:
1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering
fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review and analyze engineering problems reaching
substantiated conclusions.

3. Design/development of solutions: Design system components or processes as per need and

specification.

4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research

methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data in the field of electronics
and telecommunication.

5. Modern tool usage: Select, and apply appropriate techniques, modern engineering tools, skills and
equipment necessary for engineering practices.

6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess
societal and safety issues.

7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions
in societal and environmental contexts and demonstrate the knowledge and need for sustainable
development.

8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics, responsibilities, and norms of
the engineering practice.

9. Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual and as a member or leader in
diverse teams and in multidisciplinary settings.

10. Communication: Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.

11. Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering
principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage
projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

12. Life-long learning: Recognize the need for and have the preparation and ability to engage in
independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.
Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs):

Inculcate the ability to utilize applied sciences, transform methods, discrete

PSO 1 mathematics, applied differential equations and numerical methods in support
of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Demonstrate the ability to analyse, design & implement control and
PSO 2
instrumentation systems with computer and power systems.
Students should be able to use computational techniques to design and analyse
