PROJECT TITLE:

Proposed Seafood Restaurant (Specialty Restaurant)

PROJECT BRIEF
A Seafood Restaurant will be constructed in a seaside commercial bay in Misamis
Oriental. The area of the site is 7,384.50 sqm of space to be developed, with an RROW
consideration of 15m, and a 3-degree slope towards the coastal zone. The seafood restaurant
will cater to up to 80-200 people. The client wants an eye-catching structure that invites
consumers to dine and return to it. The client wants to have an elevated viewing platform to
showcase the scenic harbor experience.

Definition of Spaces
1. Parking- This area is provided for the parking of motorcycles and cars. It also includes
aisles, parking spaces, pedestrian walkways, and related ingress and egress lanes.

2. Entrance- The first impression of a restaurant is formed by the entry area, both inside
and outdoors. The design of the entrance, from the signs to the door to the hostess
station, conveys information about the type of food, ambiance, and service provided.

3. Dining Area- This area is primarily devoted to the serving and consumption of food.

4. Kitchen- This is where the food is stored, prepared, and cooked. This is the most
important space for restaurants. It must store everything from dry ingredients to fresh
food, herbs, cooking oils, dinnerware, cleaning supplies, and culinary implements such
as pots and pans.

5. Storage- It provides a particular location for storing various products essential for the
restaurant's functioning. Non-perishable and perishable commodities must also be
stored in storage rooms.

6. Restroom- A good restaurant should also have a decent restroom for the customers and
staff

7. Staff room- a room used by staff or workers as their quarters

8. Utility room- room storage for utilities and maintenance

9. Function hall- a special purpose room used for hosting large social and business events.

10. Floating cottages- These are accommodation units that allow customers to enjoy the
waterfront views. These structures can be either fixed or moveable. Depending on the
design, location, and intended usage, the mechanism and materials utilized in the
construction of a floating cottage can vary. Building a floating cottage needs thorough
planning, engineering, and building knowledge. The materials and procedures used will
be determined by considerations such as location, funds, and intended purpose.
Furthermore, constant maintenance is essential to preserve the structure's long-term
endurance and safety in its aquatic environment.

11. Retail Store - An area to display the goods that the restaurant can offer for consumers to
purchase

12. Terrace - a flat, hard area, especially outside a house or restaurant, where you can sit,
eat, and enjoy
13. Fire exit - a door that is used in case of emergencies

14. ramps- it allows permit wheelchair users, as well as people pushing strollers, carts, or
other wheeled objects, to more easily access a building, or navigate between areas of
different heights.

Architectural style

"Waves Cuisine" is a seafood restaurant near the beach. It embraces elements of coastal
beauty in a modern tropical architectural style.

The climate of the Philippines is marked by high temperatures, high humidity, and abundant
rainfall. This structure should be constructed to be a natural defense against the harsh elements
of the tropics and subtropics while optimizing the benefits of staying in a warm and sunny area.
The design should emphasize natural ventilation and the view of the beach, with space and light
flowing in, out, and around. Tropical Modern architecture seamlessly fits into the terrain and
establishes a harmonic interaction with nature.
