CLINICAL LABORATORY
1. There are four 4) Registered Medical Technologists in the clinical laboratory and one (1)
laboratory technician.
2. One (1) Registered Medical Technologist will be on 8 hours morning shift from Monday to
Friday except weekends and holidays. Moreover, he/ she will be in charge of doing documents
for licensing and accreditation.
3. Three (3) Registered Medical Technologists will be on a rotational duty in a 16 hours shift
daily.
4. However, if there is lack of manpower due to circumstances such as seminars, trainings ,leave
and the like ,there will be changes in the existing 8 hours morning shift.
5. The Registered Medical Technologist in the 16 hours shift (8 am-12 am) will also be the on
call duty whereas requested ONLY for emergency cases. Excess hours of duty will be
computed at the end of the month and will be filed as compensatory time off.
6. The Laboratory technician will be available from Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
7. Laboratory request should be completely filled-out with patient’s Name, Age, Address, Ward,
Birthday, Case Number, Requesting Physician and Tentative Diagnosis.
10. For outpatients, payment shall be settled first prior to specimen collection and processing.
Official receipt number shall be noted on the request form.
