mercy so that this report can be compiled to completion. Don't forget to thank you for the help of
those who have contributed by donating thoughts and materials.
This practice report is a task that must be completed by S1 students of the Tarbiyah faculty
Iain Sas Babel.
In writing this report, we would like to thank every party involved in preparing the report
and implementing teaching practices to completion.
We as the compilers feel that there are still many shortcomings in the preparation of this
report due to our limited knowledge and experience. For this reason, we expect constructive
criticism and suggestions from readers for the perfection of this writing.
Introduction
The practice of teaching "Teaching English to Young Learner" is one of the courses that
must be taken by English language education students. This course aims to provide experience for
students in carrying out the teaching and learning process in schools.
The teaching of English to young learners (TEYL) is a specialized field of education that
focuses on the unique needs and developmental stages of children as they acquire English as a
foreign or second language (EFL/ESL). TEYL encompasses a wide range of approaches,
methodologies, and techniques tailored to effectively engage young learners in the process of
language acquisition.
Teaching English to young learners (TEYL) teachers play an important role in instilling
children's love of English from an early age. They are responsible for creating a fun and engaging
learning environment for children to learn English effectively.
Teaching English to young learners (TEYL) is a challenging yet rewarding task. There are
many factors that can make teaching TEYL challenging, but there are also many strategies and
resources that can help teachers succeed in this area. Although there are challenges in teaching
English to young learners, there are many things teachers can do to help children achieve their
learning goals.

LESSON PLAN TO YOUNG LEARNER

- Students will be able to identify the name of the Animals in English.
- Student can use simple sentence to ask and mention the name of animals

6. Procedure
Pre-activity time allocation : 5 minutes

- The teacher begins the lesson by greeting the students and asking how they are.
- The teacher then shows the flashcards the picture of animals
- The teacher asks students about animals they know
Main activity time allocation : 20 minutes

- The teacher explains the names of animals in english to student.


- The teacher give students the opportunity to repeat the names of the animals in
english .
- The teacher tells student how to ask and say the names of animals in english .
- Student in pairs come forward to practice how to ask and say the names of animals in
english.
Post activity time allocation : 10 minutes

- The teacher divides student into several groups and gives a quiz game about animal
names.
- The teachers gives student punishments and reward and losers in the game
