1.PREFACE
The content of this module is about a variety of subject areas, theory of communication, and practice of
business communication ( R. Wayne, 2018 ). Communication has begun in different subject forms, as
organization management, culture, and criticism. Today, business communication has become so
important that many colleges and universities, nationally and internationally, require the course for
graduation.
Effective business communication is a continued exchanging process between two or more sides,
sending a piece of information that is understood by every party involved. Effective communication
can significantly contribute to a company's success. High Communication level will help you in
different ways in your purpose: scale-up in social, strong self-awareness, knowledge to lead and
conduct others.
2.Communication Process
Communication between persons is extremely complicated, with a lot of chances for messages to get lost or
misunderstood. Embrace this process, we can raise the chances that our sendings will reach their goals and
produce their real results. As Viswanathan(2010) describes, even I am speaking, writing, or listening, the communication
will be a long line of factors that can be split into five steps.
• The emitter is the person who initiates the communication, sometimes known as “Encoder”.
Encoding is the part of choosing and the create sending information. The emitter must project in his mind the
communication from the reading perspective.
• The message is part where the information sent it. The message includes verbal and non-verbal information
• Channel is the support used to transmit messages. The medium of transferring information will be non-verbal,
spoken, or written.
• Encounter is the part who will receive the message. The understanding message received, will be influenced by
different elements.
• Noise: All these are the steps from the communication process which can occur at any moment by internal or
external variables, which will lead to a barrier in the communication process
• Feedback. If the receiver sends back a message, that means the noise is not occurring any, and this process calls
feedback. Can take several verbal and non-verbal forms.
9. Conclusion
It is imperative that you continue to update your knowledge to have a good chance of finding a job and to become a
greater manager even one of the best employers. The personal goal is to strengthen a functioning business and
explore the new skills mentioned above. The personal objective is to consolidate a working business and to explore
the new skills mentioned above. I will probably suggest, more implications and discussion in class groups from
teachers and students in the same matter.

Bovee and Thill ( 2012, p. 40 ) state the main role of speaking is to give information. Sharing and exchange rates will
be benefits both sides, for me and the surrounding persons with whom I am communicating. Speaking clear will
helps an organization in different ways. Benefits will include solving rapidly the issues, which lead to earlier warnings
and reduce costs, thru innovation increase productivity, and steady workflow. Strong management will create better
business relationships, clear and more persuasive messages. Enhanced professional images for both employees and
companies. Better financial turnover and a great return for investors. Inversely, when communication is wrong, the
result can be bankruptcy. In every step of company development, communication is the solution for success. How
big is the organization, the more important it becomes. Nokia producer did not understand the communication and
development are the key to success or break down.
Bovee and Thill ( 2008, p. 48 ) conclude four main blockages in the workplace speaking. These are tumult and
misdirection, contend, filters, distribution breakdowns. In any communication medium, will be a lot of barrier for
good communication. This will lead to breaks between management, employees, and poor communication to
clients/suppliers. These are verbal and non-verbal. Inadequate Knowledge will come from a lack of knowing the
subjects presented, different experiences, the difference in language understanding. Ambiguity is a word, phrase,
and symbolics that can have more interpretation and meanings. Messages can be stops or twist by filters, the
organization you rely on to send the message can pervert it, by accident or for their achievement. Making more
things at the same time will be distracted.
Rajeesh (2010, p. 10) gives solutions for communication barriers, although each situation is unique. Continue to
improve your training and research. In special, search what is benefic, more important, without small thinks you will
not teach anybody. If you want to send a good and creative message to your receiver, is better to know more
information about the education, age, and status of your interlocutor. The message must be different compose of a
specialist in the field, more technical; you address to a lower-level employee will go have other approaches than the
message to higher education or even the boss. Successful communication managers must improve their skills such as
organizing, speaking with their word, showing vision and explaining logically and with clarity, focusing on companion,
real communication with people from different mediums, and knowledge.
The base of informing and the talent to move away is in our minds and our ethnical learnings, personal
understandings, and beliefs. Ethical beliefs are about being open in embracing life diversity. My ethical knowingness
will guide me to resolve different situations, me and my organization faces. Edward T. Hall (Hall, 1987) specifies the
cultural awareness, depend on explicit verbal and nonverbal communications. Body language is the sending and
encounters the messages without speaking. Making faces and other expressions, small gestures transmit a clear
message. Listening skills are rare in the business field. To improve your listening skills must be objective, alert on
cues, use verbal and non-verbal cues, use feedback.
(Williams, 2019) states about five important communication tools, for companies or in businesses medium which
you can work in. These are Face-to-Face, Broadcast Media, Mobile, Electronic, and Written.
Oral communication or Face-to-Face is the traditional connection media with people. This will encourage us to ask
questions, work together and appear as an honest, caring manager. Broadcast Media is a tool that helps you to
promote your products to large quantities of people at the same time. Mobile channels are the source of social
media where the communication is direct to people. Written media is the form that gives time to control your
message and reach dispersed audiences.
It is imperative that you continue to update your knowledge to have a good chance of finding a job and to become a
greater manager even one of the best employers. The personal goal is to strengthen a functioning business and
