Special education is a program that helps to cater students with special needs.
This program allows the students with special needs to learn and give them their rights
to education or learn without discrimination. The article entitled "Issues and
Challenges in Special Education: A Qualitative Analysis from Teacher's Perspective"
by Fely C. Allam and Matronillo M. Martin provides a comprehensive analysis of the
challenges faced by special education teachers. The authors conducted interviews
with several special education teachers in the City Division of Ilagan Isabela,
Philippines to gather their perspectives on the issues they encounter in their
profession.
One of the main issues highlighted in the article is the lack of resources and
support for special education programs. Teachers expressed their frustration with
limited funding, inadequate materials, and a lack of professional development
opportunities. This not only hinders their ability to provide quality education but also
affects their morale and job satisfaction. It also highlighted in the article is the lack of
