As the Principal Engineer, you will be a driving force in shaping the technical strategy and architecture ofour data discovery and privacy platform. Your expertise will be instrumentalin ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our technology ecosystem while providing leadership to a talented team of engineers.
Responsibilities:
● L ead the design and architecture of data discovery and security components, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. ● Leverage your knowledge of data discovery techniques to develop intelligent algorithms that identify and classify sensitive data across different data infrastructures. ● Design and implement platform services to handle 16–20 petabytes of data at the moment and scale to 100–500 petabytes. Our services/products run on some of the biggest data footprints in the world. ● Understand product requirements and provide engineering RFC’s, technical architecture and design documents. ● Address challenges such as petabytes of low latency data processing and decision making, cloud native deployment, cost optimization techniques, real-time observability, protection of sensitive data and privacy, etc. ● Apply your experience to architect workflow management and orchestration solutions, enhancing system efficiency and manageability. ● Drive the utilization of cloud-native solutions and technologies to enhance agility and scalability. ● Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within teams, inspiring engineers to explore novel solutions and technologies. ● Define the long-term technical roadmap, incorporating emerging trends and technologies to drive Borneo's technological evolution.
Required Experience:
B ● achelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field ● Proven track record of driving software development, with experience (15+ years) in a senior technical role. ● Hands-on experience in design and implementation of software systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability. P ● roficiency in one of the programming languages: TypeScript, Python, or Go. ● Experience in architectural roles or have demonstrated a strong grasp of software architecture principles. ● Expertise in development of multi-cloud distributed SaaS deployed in public or private clouds. (eg. AWS, Azure, GCP). Preferred Experiences:
E ● xperience in a product startup is highly preferred. ● Experience in cloud security, security engineering, network security in SaaS. ● Familiarity with Temporal, a framework for building resilient and scalable distributed systems, is highly desirable. ● Profound knowledge of TypeScript, including its advanced features, and its application in backend development.
