Steering
Fully hydrostatic steering made of a piston pump driven by the power takeoff on the transmission, an
orbitrol driven by the steering wheel and by a double acting hydraulic cylinder fitted on the rear axle.
The pump is the same used to supply the lifting circuit but oil capacity is ensured by a priority valve.
As an option, an emergency steering pump automatically actuated in case of failure of the main pump or
of motor cut-off with running vehicle.

Braking system
Service brake hydraulic pedal controlled wet multi-disk brakes on the hubs of the
front driving axle.
A second brake pedal, operated by the left foot, also performs the
“Declutch” function via a special electric signal transmitted to the
gearbox control unit.
Parking and emergency brake dry disk-brake, fitted on the power takeoff flange of the front driving
axle; actuated by a spring braking element, electric controlled from
the driver's cab.
The parking brake is automatically activated turning the ignition key
to 0 “OFF” (vehicle off); while, with the engine switched on and the
operator not present on the seat, an acoustic warning will sound.
Hydraulic system
Variable capacity piston pump with power control, controlled by two power takeoffs in the gearbox, which
power the lifting and boom telescoping circuits through electrically controlled proportional distributors;
anti-saturation load sensing system (LUDV, Rexroth).
Solenoid valves on/off control valves control all spreader operations (slewing , side-shifting , 20’-40’
telescoping).
The main drives for the boom and spreader are enabled using a single, multifunctional joystick with
capacitive-type “dead-man” safety contact; the control panel is adjustable to fit all operator requirements.
Automatic engine acceleration by moving the joystick to the telescoping or lifting position, while at 90% of
maximum capacity, boom telescoping and lifting speeds are automatically reduced and at 100%
maximum capacity, all boom manoeuvres are inhibited except for retraction.
The functions of the boom are inhibited if the operator is out of his seat.
There is also a system to bring down loads in emergency mode, in the event that there is an engine
failure.
The circuit is fitted with an air-oil heat exchanger with a fan driven by hydraulic motor controlled by
thermostatic switch.
On request the vehicle may be equipped with a regenerative control to increase the extension and
derricking speed of the boom without load.
As an optional, it is possible to fit a system to control the angle of the spreader with damping cylinders.

Chassis - Outriggers
Welded structure made of rolled structural steel made of two box-type rectangular side members and
jointing transversal girders.
In the rear end of the chassis connections are provided for the steering axle and to fasten the
counterweights and the towing hook.
The front side of the chassis may be prepared for the installation of outriggers.
With stationary vehicle, the outriggers allow to increase its stability and therefore to increase the carrying
capacity at great distance without prolonging the vehicle and with an extremely reduced weight increase.
Driver's cab
Fitted at the front in the centre and compliant with safety tests as required by the ISO 6055 and EN 1551
standards.
As an optional, it is possible to fit the cab to the right-hand side at the front (lifting cab).
Full steel framework suspended from the chassis using four elastic supports.
Central driver’s seat, single main access door on the left side and emergency door on the right, both with
opening glass windows.
The front windscreen has a two-speed washer and wiper; the rear windscreen has a two-speed washer
and wiper, while the top glass panel has a single-speed washer and wiper.
The front windscreen is of the laminated type: the top glass is formed by a sheet of “LEXAN”
polycarbonate with treated surface for scratch proofing and to resist UV radiation; all other glass panels
are tempered.
All glass panels are blue tinted and heatless, the rear and top windscreens are fitted (optional) with sliding
sunscreens.
The rear windscreen is removable to provide an emergency exit in case of necessity.
As an optional, it is possible to fit a noise- and mist proof double-glazed rear windscreen.
The cab contains two rear view mirrors (right and left) as well as lamp holder with cab light and adjustable
courtesy light, and holder for bottles and documents.
The seat has elastic suspensions with shock absorber. It is adjustable according to the driver’s weight,
both lengthways and vertically and it is complete with arm rests (if requested) and abdominal safety belt.
An optional seat with pneumatic suspension is also available, as is an additional seat placed to the let of
the operator.
Hot-water heating with diffusers to defrost the windscreen and front side windows, filter on air
heating/conditioning, heating battery power of 8000 kCal/h.
As an optional it is possible to fit electronically controlled air conditioning which switches off automatically
if the door is opened.
For particularly cold climates, it is possible to fit an optional hot air heater powered by diesel.
For countries with a high ambient temperature, there is an optional heatless film covering for the
windows.

Piggy-Back (Optional)
Model: TS45F RS-PB-X1 – Max carrying capacity 45 t.
The C.V.S. Piggy-back is designed to handle safely semi trailers and swap bodies, if equipped with
suitable lifting devices.
This is comprised of four upright legs hinged (singly) at the tops to be able to be tilted to a horizontal
position; the lower part of each leg has a normalised profile hinged hook to hook up trailers or mobile
boxes.
The frame to which the legs are hinged can be tilted so that, when not in use, the height and width of the
Piggy-Back will not obstruct normal use of the spreader (it is within the limits of the spreader size).
The Piggy-Back preserves the rotation and balance functions of the spreader.
A further lengthways angled movement of the equipment is foreseen to facilitate hooking and unhooking
of trailers and mobile boxes.
The angle variation is the same on both sides and is also possible with a raised load.
Each hook has a switch to signal that hooking is complete; lack of consent from at least one of these
switches will prevent the load from being lifted.
The Piggy-back operations are electrically/hydraulically controlled.
The safety system includes the signalling and locking of some manoeuvres for a comfortable and safe
use of the attachment.
Masses (kg)
with Spreader (Standard), without outriggers
