    Scope of Supply

    Insulation blanket for steam turbine & compressors

    A re-defined scope of work ensures that all parties involved have a clear understanding of what needs to be accomplished,
    and to avoid any confusion, delays, cost overruns, and ultimately, unsatisfactory outcomes.

    Scope of work consists of:

    1. Thermal calculation
    2. Acoustic calculation
    3. Supply 270 sqm of insulation for 12 compressors and 09 steam turbines, the insulation configuration as
    per calculation note based on below information :

    Location: Onshore (outdoors, but protected from the weather)


    Process : temperature of protected items: Compressors: max 223 ~ 230 °C / Turbines: max 530 °C
    Surface temperature of the insulation blanket: The touch temperature must be limited to 60°C.
    Max Ambient temperature: 45 °C
    relative Humidity level: Min 55 % - Max 85 %
    Design maximum wind velocity: 25 m/s
    exemption from cancerogenic classification
    Fire and Explosion Hazards: fire protection for up to 2 hours,
    Explosion hazard: Not explosive.
    Expected sound pressure level on measure surface: as per attached noise data sheet
    Desired noise: 85 dB(A) maximum@ 1mt distance from the equipment and@ 1,5 mt from ground
    Code & standard: ASTM C680 -C592-12 -C547-11-UL 1709 or others current recognized standard to be précised
    Drawing D2 : see attached documents
    Package: wooden crate by items
    Warranty: 24 months from delivery
    Delivery terms: CFR –Oran Port

    4. Site survey to take dimensional measurement to specify the dimensions of insulations pillows.

    Duration: 06 days
    Accommodation, local transport and Food in charge of SORFERT Algeria (excluded travel)

    NB: site survey to take dimensional measurement by the bidders for turbine (05 Model) only, the insulation for
    compressors is unaffected where the dimension can take directly (07 Models). The scan 3D not required

    5. Supervise the installation works for 1-unit intervention for compressor & turbine carried out by others

    6. Documents to be submitted with the offer

    ▪ Preliminary assessment as initial information to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to justify the choice
    of materials and thickness

    Supply will be accompanied by a manual of supply contents:


    - Assembly instructions
    - Safe use instruction sheet
    - Detailed part list of supply
    - Technical data
    - Layering description
    - Map drawing of pre-shaped pillows intended to identify the correct position
    - Thermal calculation
    - Acoustic calculation
    - Lloyd’s Register Certificate of the fire approval
