COURSE OVERVIEW
CONTINOUS ASSESSMENT
Continuous assessment tests will comprise all the end of lecture evaluations and
MUST be submitted in hard copy before the class sessions. Evaluations submitted
after the in class session will not be marked. Plagiarism is strongly discouraged
and any plagiarised work will earn a zero mark. At the end of the semester the
continuous tests will be 30% of the total end of semester mark.

This module will equip learners with knowledge and skill to prevent and manage
HIV and AIDS
At the end of this module the learner should be able to:
1. Differentiate between HIV & AIDS
2. Explain the epidemiology of HIV & AIDS, globally, regionally and
Nationally
3. Discuss the linkage of HIV testing to treatment and prevention
4. Describe the standard package of care for those living with HIV & AIDS
5. Discuss the antiretroviral therapy for various age groups
6. Evaluate impact of HIV and AIDS in different sectors
7. Analyse HIV AND AIDS government policies
