can and arrange the chair)
“To have a refreshment on our previous lesson,
let’s have a recap who can do the recap?”

“Yes, faith ”

“Very Good” Faith : “we tackle last meeting about the

rotation and revolution of the Earth”
A. Awareness

“Before going through our lesson let’s have a

game. This game is called 4 pics 1 word. We
will be showing you 4 pictures and you will
guess the answer of the pictures in just a 1
word, understand class?

All: “Yes Ma’am”

_______

“Let me give you a clue, one word with 7

letters that starts with letter P. Raise your hands
if you want to answer. “

“Yes, Loyd”
Loyd: “ Plants”
“No! nice try Loyd now who wants to guess
aside from Loyd”

“Okay, Hilmel”
Hilmel: “Planets teacher”
“That’s great! You just revealed the word that
is part of our lesson today!

“Are you familiar with The 8 Planets of the

Solar System?
All : “no teacher!”
How about the Planet Earth are you familiar
with that?
All: “yes Teacher”
In todays lesson you guys will be able to
identify the 8 planets of the solar system so
listen carefully so that you will learn something
new today.

B. Activity

I have here a sample of a solar system and the

planets are all missing I want you guys to help
me find the 8 planets. Are you ready class?

Lets start finding! All: yes teacher!

Have you seen a tiny planet class?

Mabil: on the window teacher !
That’s the first planet
Now lets look for another . have you seen a
really hot red planet?
Mariel: on the top of your table teacher
That’s the second planet. Now lets find the next
planet which is our planet.
Gelyn: I’ve seen the earth planet teacher on
your back
That’s right that’s our planet which is the third
planet. Now lets look for another. Have you
seen a red planet? Analyn: on the door teacher.

That’s right that’s the 4th planet. Lets look for

the 5th planet. Have you seen a giant planet?
Daisy Lou: On the top TV teacher
th
Yes that’s the 5 planet. Now lets look for the
next planet that has a beautiful rings. Have seen
it class?
Jimwin: on the floor teacher
Yes that’s 6th planet. Lets look for another.
Have you seen a very beautiful color light blue
planet? Jabagat: on the top of the trash can teacher!

Yes that’s the 7th planet. Lets look for the last
planet. Have you seen any dark blue color
planet? Aljelie: on the top of the board teacher

Yes that’s right that’s the last planet.

“Thank you so much for your participation
class for helping me find the 8 missing planets.
C. Analysis
Base on the activity that we perform earlier
you’ve seen the 8 planets . but you didn’t know
the names of the planets. In todays lesson let’s
discover and identify the 8 planets.

“Now let’s proceed to the 8 planets of the solar

system”

The 8 Planets of the Solar System

Everyone please read the 1st planet of the solar
system
1.Mercury

All: Mercury

Yes mercury is the 1st planet and the smallest

planet in our solar system. It is also the planet
that is nearest to the Sun, Mercury is only
slightly larger than Earth's Moon.
What is the 1st planet class?
Very good All: Mercury

Now lets proceed to the next planet.

2. Venus
Venus is the second planet from the Sun and
is Earth’s closest planetary neighbor. It’s one of
the four inner, terrestrial (or rocky) planets, and
it’s often called Earth’s twin because it’s
similar in size and density. These are not
identical twins, however – there are radical
differences between the two worlds
What’s the earth’s twin planet class?
Okay very good. All: Venus teacher!
The third planet is our planet Earth.
3. Earth

Our home planet is the third planet from the

Sun, and the only place we know of so far
that’s inhabited by living things.
What is the third planet from the sun class?
Very good All: Earth teacher !

Next planet is the Mars

4. Mars

Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun – a

dusty, cold, desert world with a very thin
atmosphere. Mars is also a dynamic planet with
seasons, polar ice caps, canyons, extinct
volcanoes, and evidence that it was even more
active in the past.

What is the 4th planet class?

That’s right All: Mars !

The next is the largest planet

5. Jupiter

Fifth in line from the Sun, Jupiter is the largest

planet in the solar system – more than twice as
massive as all the other planets combined.

What is the largest planet class?

Correct! All: Jupiter teacher!

The next planet has a beautiful rings

6. Saturn

Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the

second-largest planet in our solar system.
Adorned with thousands of beautiful ringlets,
Saturn is unique among the planets. It is not the
only planet to have rings – made of chunks of
ice and rock – but none are as spectacular or as
complicated as Saturn's.

What planet that has rings class?

All: the Saturn teacher
That’s correct

Next is the 7th planet

7. Uranus

Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun, and

has the third-largest diameter in our solar
system. It was the first planet found with the
aid of a telescope.

What is the 7th planet again class?

Correct All: Uranus

The next is the last planet

8. Neptune
Neptune—the eighth and most distant major
planet orbiting our Sun—is dark, cold and
whipped by supersonic winds. It was the first
planet located through mathematical
calculations.

What is the last planet class?

that’s correct! All: Neptune Teacher

D. Abstraction

“Okay, so what are the 8 planets in the solar

system?
Yes Vincent?
Vincent: The Mercury , Venus, Earth, Mars,
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune
“Precisely, that’s the 8 planets in our solar
system and those planets are orbiting the sun.

Do you guys know that our planet earth is the

only planet that has living things? All: yes teacher

So let us all preserve and take good care of our

planet earth since this is the only planet that
humans can live. Do you guys appreciate the
beauty of our planet?

Yes Lyza?
Lyza: yes teacher specially now that I know
that our planet is the only planet where we
can live. I’ll treasure and preserve our planet
starting today.

Very good Lyza, that’s a good realization that

I’ve heard.
E. Application

“Since we are done about our discussion now,

we will be having an activity and in this activity
I’ll group you into 2 groups. This right row is
the group 1 and the left row are the group 2 .

In group 1 all you need to do is you will

arrange in order and organize the sequence of
the planet.

The group 2 will solve the puzzle that I will be

giving them and they will show the puzzle that
they solve in front and recite the order of the
planet from the nearest to the farthest of the
sun.

Rubrics for the game:

showing cooperation and collaboration of each
member in the group
40%

correct output
40%

insrtuction
20%

I’ll give you class enough time to finish that.

Timer starts now.
( group 1 will be showing their work)
( all activity is done )
( pupils will do the 5 claps and 5 stumps for
Ok times up group 1 lets check your work.
group 1 .)
Ok very good group 1. Lets give 5 claps and 5
( group 2 will be showing their work and
stumps
they will recite the ordering of the 8
planets.)
Next group 2 present your work in front.

( pupils will do the fireworks clap)

Very good group 2 lets give them fireworks
clap.

F. Assessment

Answer this assessment in 5 minutes .
