REMINISCENCE SPEECH New
Honourable Chief Guest of the Day, members of the board of trustees, principals, vice
principals, respected teachers, parents and at last all my dear friends.
Warm Greetings to All of You!
As I stand before you, I can't help but reflect on the incredible journey we've all been on
together. It feels like just yesterday we walked through the doors of icsk wide-eyed and
eager to embark on this chapter of our lives. It's surreal to stand here and reminisce about
the incredible journey we've shared in the hallways of our beloved school.
Zulfeen, since I am fairly new to ICSK, I would love to hear all your memories from the
younger grades.
Z – Certainly! Do you remember that first day when we walked in, a mix of excitement and
nerves filling the air? Little did we know, those hesitant steps would lead us to years of
laughter, stories, and growth.
The day we upgraded from pencils to pens felt like a rite of passage, a small yet significant
step towards the adults we were eagerly becoming.
Do you recall those days when we looked up to our seniors with starry eyes, thinking they
were living the dream? Little did we realize that the dream was not a destination but a
journey, and here we are, having walked the same path, and being the role models, we once
admired.
I still remember when namaste India used to be Senate Fest, the excitement filling the air
as we ran through the school in pretty dresses. Birthdays were a whole event in
themselves, an opportunity to go with that one special person – your best friend. Back
when leaders achievers winners victors were Shanti Seva Sahyog and Santosh..
Remember those Sports Day practices? We'd be out there, rain or shine, putting in the hard
work to perform in Khaifan Stadium. ah! The spirit of those days
And let's not forget the ultimate showdown – Art Fest! All the singers and dancers from our
classes battling it out in the arena. The cheers, the applause, and the friendly competition
made it all unforgettable.
Lastly, who could forget our school's favorite picnic spot – Hawally Park - That place was
the epitome of our school picnics, a spot that no other could come close to.
Can you believe it's been more than a decade at ICSK? It feels like I've grown up here in
every sense of the word, thanks to this amazing school. Also special thanks to my beloved
teacher, Minerva Mam, who always encourages me to be my best. Though some teachers
aren’t present here today, their impact remains. Late teacher Shilu ma’am once told us, we
will be the brightest stars of ICSK, and here we are, the brightest stars she dreamed of us
to be. Ready to lit the whole world up with wisdom and love.
J – As many of you know, I joined ICSK just two years ago, stepping in as a nervous
newcomer. It took me quite sometime to gather the courage to interact with you all. But
then you know what? Slowly but surely I began engaging in convos, participate in activities,
and lemme tell you it was definitely worth it.
Remember all those fun events like Children's Day and Teachers' Day? Man, we used to
rock up in our colorful outfits and spend the whole day playing games and having a blast.
And who could forget the hype around Senate elections? Those campaign days were
something else!
And for the guys, those Interclass football tournaments were legendary. The energy and
team spirit were off the charts.
For making all this happen, I would like to thank our principal, vice principal, and our
school management for their whole hearted support. Next I would like to thank all my
teachers who took their time and efforts to patiently explain all the difficult concepts and to
offer words of encouragement when we needed the most. Jins ma’am’s interesting lectures,
Elakkiya ma’ams amazing classes, Vijay sirs thought provoking questions, debate sessions
in Manju ma’ams classes, Fathima ma’ams lively sessions, Melvin sirs mistake reading
sessions, and Prathap sirs jokes in class are all something that we will definitely miss later
on. Thank you teachers. Finally I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the
moms and dads who have supported, encouraged and believed in us every step of the way.
Z – what an incredible journey it has been for the ones who have been here since day 1 and
for the ones who have joined recently too. And hey! Give yourself a pat on the back. You
have done it and you have made everyone proud.
J - Cheers to the class of 23-24, let's embrace the future with open arms, knowing that the
best is yet to come. Together, let's write the next chapter of our journey with determination,
courage, and boundless enthusiasm.
Let us now recite a short poem to bid adieu to all of you!
Thank you!
