    KING OF CHORUS: CE1 PROJECT-MN3002 & TDA1022P V1.

    Welcome to the CE1 project.


    A well coveted chorus pedal and loved by many a guitarist is now available for
    you to build.
    There is a PCB designed for each BBD so you can use either the MN3002 or
    TDA1022P, both are 512 stage delay chips.
    The TDA1022 will most probably be the easiest and cheapest to source.

    It’s designed to fit into a 1590BB and is powered from your regular 9V run,
    the project is done using a DC converter.

    Is it like the original?

    The circuit largely remains the same.


    The High/Low switch section has been removed.
    It is also now true bypass and runs on 9V DC which makes life a lot easier.
    Sound-wise it nails the lovely CE1 tones.
    Look up ‘Retro sonic chorus demo’ and you will get an idea of the sounds.
    Stereo option available which is a DRY out signal but does require a switched
    stereo jack.

    This is not a hard build as such, it’s just got a lot of parts compared to other
    projects you may have done.

    ***TAKE YOUR TIME***

    I would start by populating the diodes then the 10k resistors (18 of them!) as
    it will make it much easier to find where to put the other values.

    As excited as you may be to get this beast going it can be easy to balls up!
    So get plenty of coffee and plan the build.

    *Use a socket for the BBD-Highly Recommended

    *Watch your iron when soldering the DC converter, try to apply as


    little heat as possible, do 1 pin then wait 10 seconds or so before
    moving onto another pin.
