Abstract
The materials collection at the Institute of Science and Technology in Art materials produced only for the industrial sector or other purposes, e.g. many of

Information stored in Access® database:
• Inventory number • Color • Toxicity • XRD file name • XRF file name • FTIR file name • Raman file name
• Trivial name • Color Index name / number • Flammability • XRD spectrum *.jpg • XRF spectrum *.jpg • FTIR spectrum *.jpg • Raman
• Chemical name • Type of material • Photosensitivity • XRD phases • XRF list of the elements • FTIR bands spectrum *.jpg
• Molecular formula • Manufacturer / Supplier
• Literature source

All data stored in the Microsoft Access® database were implemented into the MySQL web-enabled database, which is a widely used open source
relational database management system.

The web-enabled database contains a general information about the ISTA Materials Collection, methods used for analytical approach, and the database

Summary and Outlook
• The web-enabled database will provide all the data to the scientific community
and will give the possibility of having access to all the information in an easy way.
• Currently, the 1st version of the web database is tested before “going online”.
• We are open for suggestions in order to improve and make the web-enabled
database user-optimized.
