Detailed Lesson Plan in Mathematics 3

I-Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the pupils’ must be able to:
a. multiply 2- to 3- digit number to 1- to- 2- digit number without
regrouping;
b. compute the product of 2 numbers with accuracy; and
c. show accuracy/carefulness in solving number problems.

Okay class! Before we start our class, let
us have a game first. I will divide you into
two groups_ the first row is the Little
Einsteins and the second row is the Little
Newtons.

The mechanics of this game is simple: all


you have to do is to solve and write the
correct answer on the given space in just
two minutes. Are you ready class?!
Yes! Teacher.
Okay good. Now fall in line according to
your group and let’s start our game. At
the count of 3.
(Pupils are expected to follow the
teacher instructions)

(After everything is set up and the pupils


are already ready, the teacher will give
her ‘go signal’ to start the game.)

(The pupils’ are expected to do their

operation that combines two
numbers (called factor) to find their
product (result of multiplication).

Multiplication can also be understood as
arranging objects into equal groups.

Multiplication is used in everyday life
situations such as:
-Calculating the total cost of multiple
items at a store.
Example:
Melaine brought three pencils, each
pencil is worth of 7 pesos. How
much did Melaine spend in all?

Okay class, before we continue our class,
I would like you to hear our School
Principal’s letter for you. Now please be
quiet and allow me to read it for you.
Dearest Pupils,
I want to thank you for attending
this class, your presence means a lot to
me. I wrote a letter for you to announce
our new Classroom Rules. Our new
Classroom Rules are the following: First,
pupils must respect one another
especially the teacher. Be quiet when
someone is talking and treat everyone
with kindness. Second, Pupils’ must

and must be polite in asking, clarifying

~Multiply the top number by the ones
place of the bottom number.
~Add a zero beneath the ones place of

number.
~Then multiply the top number by the

~Add the two numbers together to get
the final answer.
~It is important to show accuracy and
carefulness in solving number
problems to get the correct answer.
