Final Oral Task – Task A
Part 1: 1 minute

To both/all students:
• Good morning / afternoon / evening. Welcome to your Final oral task.
First, I will ask you some questions.

(Select one or two questions, as appropriate, for each student.)

• What is your greatest personal achievement so far?


• What are your eating habits?
• What type of podcast do you like to listen to?
• How do you avoid eating unhealthy food?
• In what situations do you cancel plans with friends?
• When do you offer strangers help?
• Which social media app do you use the most? Why?
• Which event in your life will you never forget?
• Can you talk about a good memory that you have?

Part 2: 4 minutes (pairs) / 6 minutes (groups)

Now, in this part of the task, you are going to talk about something together.
First you have 1 minute to look at the task. (Show slide.)
Think about advertising in your country.

• Products that can be advertised


• Advantages and disadvantages
• Impact in people’s lives
• Where can people find ads.
Now, talk to each other about advertising in your country. You have 4 minutes (pairs) / 6
minutes (groups).

(Stop sharing screen when time is up.)

Part 3: 1 minute

(Select one or two questions, as appropriate, for each student.)

• What kind of TV ads make an impact on you? Why?


• Which products do you see advertised more often?
• What type of ads attract young people?

• What’s your favorite childhood memory?


• What culture do you find more interesting?
• How often do you use social media?
• When do you not use your cellphone?
• What job would you like to have?
• What is an ideal job for you?
• What is a viral story you have heard of lately?
• What type of stories do you like to tell?
• Which charity work would you like to participate in?

Part 2: 4 minutes (pairs) / 6 minutes (groups)

Now, in this part of the task, you are going to talk about something together.
First you have 1 minute to look at the task. (Show slide.)
Think about work-life balance.

• Benefits
• Recommendations to have a proper work-life balance.
• Your work-life balance habits
• Consequences of not having a work-life balance
Now, talk to each other about work-life balance. You have 4 minutes (pairs) / 6 minutes

Part 3: 1 minute

• What benefits does a proper work-life balance have?


• What activities would you recommend for having a work-life balance?
