Please note that the following items have been updated in the VDR-100G2/S Installation &
Maintenance Manual:

ƒ OAU connection drawing located on page 59,


ƒ Internal microphone terminal block drawing on page 54, and
ƒ DPU mounting drawing on page 37.

The current version of the Installation & Maintenance Manual is Rev1.6.

Please find the relevant updated pages attached to this bulletin. It is recommended that the
receiving personnel print and distribute these pages for replacement in the above mentioned
manual. Once the pages have been replaced the attached amendment page should be signed
and dated by the person responsible for making the replacement.

4 MOUNTING

4.1 Unit Mounting Locations


4.1.1 Installing the DPU and DAU
4.1.1.1 DPU
The Data Processing Unit (DPU) cabinet is installed on the prepared base as shown in Figure 4.1
– DPU Mounting.

After the plinth is installed on the base mount, the DPU cabinet is installed on the plinth. There
should be a minimum clearance of:
ƒ 200mm from the left side (cable entry) of the cabinet to allow for easy access to the fan and
cable entry plate.
ƒ A minimum of 100mm of clearance from all other sides of the cabinet to allow for proper
ventilation and maintenance.
ƒ The top hatch will require 400mm of clearance to fully open.

5.5.1 Internal Microphone and Buzzer

Note! The conductor marked “SHD”, “S”, or “Audio Channel Shield” should not be
grounded to the internal ground bolt of the DPU.

To minimize wiring from the audio junction boxes to the VDR-100G2, it is possible to connect the
VDR-100G2 cable from all the audio junction boxes to a central junction box and run a single
multi-lead cable back to the VDR-100G2. This central junction box is not provided with the VDR-
100G2.
