PETA 1
One – Act – Play
Procedures:
1. Watch a video clips or excerpt of any of the presented theater production that has
been discussed in this module or an excerpt of your favorite movie through internet.
2. Choose an excerpt, memorize the lines and practice acting
3. You will create a three – five minutes acting segment of the theater play or movie
excerpt you have chosen using any available media or technology.
4. If using cellphone, use the camera on the back of your phone. The front camera’s
quality is not as good on most phones.
5. Record in landscape mode (that is, horizontally instead of vertically). This will give
you footage that looks good on larger devices, not just phone screens. Use plenty of
lights
6. You may use props and costumes, if needed.
7. Add background music to your video and save the finished video on any available
device.
8. Ask your parents to watch your one act play and ask them to rate your
performance.
9. Remember that the most important thing in your One-Act Play will be the
convincing portrayal of character.
