fast and bore a lot of ripe cucumbers. The giant, being tired and hungry after struggling
through the bamboo, couldn't help but stop to taste the tempting cucumbers. He sat down

seventeen years old." Too excited about the fact that she would have a companion, the
old woman at once agreed to the condition.
7. After eating the cucumbers, he chased Timun Mas again. The girl threw her last weapon
on the ground; it was a piece of shrimp paste or terasi in bahasa Indonesia. Magically, the
shrimp paste turned into a vast lake of quicksand. The giant didn't realise the danger of
the sand. He was too eager to catch the girl. He stepped into the sand and it didn't take a
long time before it sucked all his big body down. The giant drowned in the lake.
