1.0 ABSTRACT
Technology in today’s world has reached to extent that it can be used to do various task in
day to day life easily with less effort and time. World today has realised importance of
education in one’s life which has led to revolution in field of education. Universities,
colleges, schools today have loads of task to be completed in given timeline. In today’s
scenario colleges needs to analyze student results manually which takes lots of time and
effort by faculties working on it. Hence in order to simplify this tasks a web based system is
introduced which can perform student result analysis.

Marks management system project as a multi-user computer software, used to maintain the
information about student result, this student marks management system project is
developed in java programming language. The main aim of this project is to store the result
scores of student and process the scores in user-defined way and produce their results in
the form of report cards or other analysis charts. This software is primarily used for schools
and colleges to evaluate the performances of result for students. In student marks
management system report card is done for individual academic term by calculating total
marks of student in every subject can be processed.

individual report card of each student has to be displayed and printed on a screen. An
important aid for teachers and students to judge their performance. Student performance in
a particular subject or all the subjects must be expressed. Performance of teachers of
various classes can be easily compared

 Storing and retrieving the unorganized data.

 Segregating the data based on a particular student ID.
 Further segregating the data subject wise.
 Providing the result in a single pattern only( standard pattern- internal marks, external
marks, total marks)

4.0 Course Outcomes

 Store the name,rollno,marks of different exams of every student
 Teachers can easily insert ,delete and update the student data
 User can easily find student or staff details
 Students can access their profile and results with the help of id and password
 it provide the examination result accurately to the students in a simple way

5.0 Literature Review

According to Freund et al. (2017), nowadays people interact directly with technology in
fields such as education, government, finance, retail, entertainment, health care, science,
travel, publishing, and manufacturing. And they also state that, educators and teaching
institutions use technology to assist with education. Most equip labs and classrooms with
laptops or desktops. Some even provide computers or mobile devices to students. Many
require students to have a mobile computer or mobile device to access the school’s
network or Internet wirelessly, or to access digital-only content provided by a textbook
publisher. And educators may use a Course Management System (CMS), sometimes called a
Learning Management System (LMS), which is a software that contains tools for class
preparation, distribution, and management. For example, through the course management
system, students access course materials, grades, assessments, and a variety of
collaboration tools.
