POST ACTIVITY REPORT

National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) 2023

The City Government of Tacurong headed by Mayor Joseph George L. Lechonsito, MD, DPA joins the
nation in the observance of the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) 2023 through the conduct
of activities relative to building resilience with involvement of the Local DRRM Council/Committees.

The National Disaster Resilience Month is being observed every July of each year by virtue of Executive
Order 29 signed in 2017 to emphasize the importance of disaster risk reduction management and the
need to understand disaster risk, enhancing community disaster preparedness, strengthening risk
governance, and investing in disaster risk reduction.

With the theme, "BIDAng Pilipino: Building a Stronger Filipino Well-being towards Disaster Resilience”,
focuses on ensuring that well-being of every Filipino is well taken care of so that they can efficiently
contribute in our effort to build a disaster resilient nation.

Hanging of NDRM 2023 Banners

Hanging of NDRM banners in different strategic locations of the city to show support and for widest
dissemination of the upcoming National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) 2023 celebration.

R4R: Run for Resilience

Joined in the race and fun run activity dubbed as R4R: Run for Resilience initiated by the Regional
Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council XII as part of the observance of the National Disaster
Resilience Month (NDRM) 2023 during the Opening Ceremony on July 1, 2023 in Kidapawan City.
Around 1,000 participants from the different RDRRMC and Local DRRM Councils participated in the
event.
Information, Education and Communication Campaign

Guesting on social media program dubbed as “LGU Talks” of Talakudong Media Production hosted by
Pericles A. Justiniani on June 30, 2023 to intensify the Information, Education and Communication (IEC)
campaign for widest dissemination of the upcoming National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) 2023
celebration.
Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Training

Conducted Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Training Course on July 5-7,
2023. This aims the participants to obtain the knowledge, skills, and attitude required in cascading
practical DRRM approaches that are applicable for communities before, during, and after disasters.
Trivia contest relative to Disaster Risk Reduction and Management

Conduct of weekly trivia contest every Monday convocation for the whole month of July 2023.

Emergency Rescue and Fire Fighting Equipment Exhibit

Office of the City DRRM displays an array of assorted search and rescue equipment at the LDRRM
Operations Center. The exhibit showed the latest acquisitions of the city, which included ambulance
medical equipment, and tools used for accidents and calamities among others. Also on display were
equipment, gears, and tools used for firefighting by City of Tacurong Fire Station Personnel.

Augmentation for Sultan Kudarat Province Incident Management Team

Augmented resources for Sultan Kudarat Province Incident Management during the Nationwide Signing
of the Agrarian Emancipation Act and distribution of Certificate of Land Ownership Award and Project
Split E-Titles on July 7, 2023.
Simulation Exercise (SimEx)
on Shooting and Unattended
Baggage

Participation to Simulation
Exercise (SimEx) on Shooting and Unattended Baggage initiated by PNP 1st Sultan Kudarat Provincial
Mobile Force Company on July 19, 2023. This aims to enhance the response capability of first
responders in such incidents.

3rd Quarter Limpyo Kalog 2023

Participation to the 3rd Quarter Limpyo Kalog Activity on July 28, 2023. This clean-up drive activity is the
LGU's response in support of the anti-dengue campaign of the Department of Health. Specifically, it
endeavors to minimize the clogging of canals and one of the strategies to combat and control dengue
cases in the city.
Emergency Operations Center Training Course

Conducted Emergency Operations Center Training Course on July 26-28, 2023. This aims the
participants will be able to obtain the knowledge and skills required in the effective operationalization
and management of an EOC.
Tree Planting and Plant
Rearing Activity

Facilitated conduct of a tree planting and plant rearing activity on July 29, 2023 at Baras Bird Sanctuary
in collaboration with Notre Dame of Tacurong High School Boys Department and Notre Dame of
Tacurong for Girls High School Batch 1986.
